Not only am I broke as fuck to begin with but I have had no luck lately and all I can do is worry about how much the gas will be that I put in it and how long it will be before I have to start paying for repairs.

I just quit looking for cars. I looked for like 6 months, got really close at buying one a couple of times, but then just said fuck it I'll keep my piece of shit. I really don't care.

The good thing is though right now...you can just about name your reasonable price. Sales is hurting hard right now. I know of a couple people that have gone in without any affiliations at all and was still able to just take one from fleet services and bypass any sales. Dealers are taking what they can get right now.

The best car is a paid for car. If you want a way to help ease the pain of gas prices, stop paying interest and taking a hit on depreciation.

look into motorcycles, they are less safe obviously, but they use a lot less gas.

You can get a Buell Blast for like $1000 these days and they get around 75MPG.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I bought a used 2003 Toyota Camry right before the VFC tour. It now has 115K miles on it (when I got it it had about 30K), runs like a dream, and gets very close to 40mpg on the highway. Maybe that's something you could look at. I want this car to never die. I still love it so much.
