well, i've had a life full of close calls so i'll just list a few.
when i was 6 my mom was working a third shift job so me and my sister had this baby sitter that would stay with us through the night. that night she couldn't sleep. it's a good thing because our house caught fire! if the baby sitter had not been awake, we may not have woken up to get out.
i almost fell off a cliff one time. i lost my balance and was waving my arms so i would go back instead of forward. i seriously thought i was going to fall, but went backwards just in time.
this one really doesn't make sense....i was driving on a narrow back road. this van came flying at me on a blind curve! i was totally on my side, with nowhere else to go, and this van was right in the middle, coming at me! i braced myself and before i knew it, the van was past me.....it should have hit me. the van couldn't have swerved because there were guard rails on both sides. not sure what happened, but i was very thankful. No need to be void, or save up on life...

In 8th grade gym class a kid beat me with a plastic hockey stick for not being goalie. I needed 24 stitches to my head and had to undergo some physical therapy on my leg from the initial blow that knocked me down. I've got a nice "character" scar.
On the downside, I get massive headaches/migraines in the area, especially when it rains :( I laugh about it now, but some scary shit, especially with the blood spurting all over the place. It was like a scene from the movie "Carrie"! To add insult to injury (pun intended
) the kid, who was a loner was suspended for 3 days, it happened on a thursday and they counted the weekend in the suspension!!! Highschool sucks!

I was backpacking in the Sierra Nevada's with an Outward Bound group, our least experienced one jarred a rock as he was heading up a slope, and it missed my head by probably 3 inches, it was a big rock, I would have been decapitated.I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning

A few years ago the lightning of a thunderstorm hit the ground two feet in front of me... And I couldn't (still can't) remember the half hour before that moment anymore....0

Just after my oldest son was born, as I was holding him in the delivery room, my blood pressure crashed and I passed out. All I can remember of it is that the room suddenly filled with people and I could hear the alarms going and wondering who they were for... I could feel the pain of the needles and the fluid going in to to my veins but it felt like it was happening to someone else. I remember a pretty nurse talking to me and answering her, but it was only in my head...I couldn't vocalise the words... I don't remember anything else, but apparently they had to work pretty fast to get me back...I was oblivious to all this, but my mum and my then husband had had to call all the family and say that things were bad and they weren't sure what was going to happen to me.
I woke up at 11 the next morning and I'd forgotten I even had a baby...A human being that was given to fly.

It was pretty friggin scary.
The sea is one dangerous mutha. I'm not a big fan of it.0 -

This reminds me of when I almost passed out when having a blood test the other week. I could feel myself going but thought I'd be o,k If I just put my head between my legs for a minute. Anyway, everyone grabbed me and dragged me over to a bed and started fussing.
He he!
I've always been a big woos when it comes to blood tests.0 -

Though I reckon If I had a choice of death then it'd be getting struck by lightning. Pretty fucking dramatic if you ask me. Like something from 'Highlander'.0 -
I was close to drowning when I was 20 years old during white water rafting on the Zambezi river in Zambia. Got stucked under the boat and panicked. It's not a crime to free your mind.0

bodysurfing as a kid during a tropical storm...was on top of a big wave and landed on my head. sommersaulted over and landed in shallow enough water that i could roll over and have my head out of the water. damn near paralyzed myself or worse.
anytime i have a bad migraine (do we ever have good ones?) my head feels like it will explode.I love to turn you on0 -
pretty bad car accident in high school. our driver spun out of control and we basically ricocheted between cars at 60 mph...one side of the car was completely torn off. the girl next to me was thrown 30 feet from the car....my seatbelt actually snapped....cracked my tooth and tore some back muscles, but it was seriously a miracle when you see what happened to that car that we all came away from it alive.0

when i choked on a sweet as a kid, and when as a teenager i got drunk on cognac and passed out only to wake up and be still intoxicated, i only came around to my senses on the third day.0

Im not sure if I would die..but I did have a very bad allergic reaction to shellfish a year ago. These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.0

When I first lived on my own, I boarded in a house that was a 30 minute walk away from my high school and friends. I had to walk through a park which included crossing a rickety old suspension bridge that was about 70 years old. One night coming home in the dead of winter, at about 2 AM in the middle of February, the bridge groaned and creaked and shook so bad that I thought I was going to take the whole thing down, and I was going to end up going through the ice of the Thames River (London, Ontario). My heart was beating so fast, I was scared shitless, and I walked so slow so as not to create as much shaking on the bridge. Regularly, the bridge would rock when you walked over it, and people would deliberately do it, but that night, I swore it was ready to give in. I doubt it had many walkers in the dead of winter, especially in the morning hours on a brutally cold night. Where the bridge attached to the stairs, that part seemed to shake the most, like it would completely detach at any moment. Until the winter was over, I avoided the bridge after that, and took the extra half-hour walk around the river at the nearest bridge, which was a major road, making my walk to and fro 1 hour1998 ~ Barrie

God... mine is sooo similar, I wonder if it was the same storm!
I was bodysurfing with my friends when there was either a hurricane or tropical storm off the coast of Maine & the weather at the beach in RI was beautiful but the waves were so insane you could barely get out far enough to even ride them.
Still- me & my stupid amateur friends made it out just past the breakers, and the first wave got me and flipped me completely around so I didn't know where I was or where the surface was.
I remember trying to come up for air thinking, "This is drowning.""If you're looking for someone to pull you out of that ditch, you're out of luck."0 -
The time I was riding in my friend's VW Beetle and he lost it on a curve in Glendale and we rolled 3 times.
...
Or that time when a friend's idiot boyfriend pointed a gun in my face and said he was going to kill me because he thought I was banging her. I turned into a babbling fool... spouting crap about him not wanting to do this because of prison and made it to the door and ran off faster than I have ever ran in my life.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! my dad used to be a trucker, so one stormy winter evening he was far away from home, just me & mom, im told i was somewhere around 2 years old
story goes, i turned all red, sweating, convulsions, eyes rolling in the back of my head, my 'super' uncle came to the rescue and got me to the hospital, to this day we share a special bond, even though i was not even aware of this situation until a few years ago"ah fuck it get in trouble"
