Ferry Jumper Yesterday

It was weird on a number of levels...
Mainly because I ride BC ferries quite often, not usually that route (tsawassen - swartz bay (victoria)) and I've never encountered that before.
jbiz and i were on our way to see Nine Inch Nails on the ferry and were eating when alarms started going off and crew started to scramble, a large crowd gathered at a window near us and i saw that a flare was thrown in the water... turns out someone "exited" the boat as the captain so nicely put it later...
they got the guy out of the water and later one of the announcements called for a medical doctor if there was one aboard... by this time the ferry had turned around to head back and get the guy an ambulance.
not sure how he is... the top decks are high enough to break bones but i'm not sure enough to kill someone, unless he was planning on getting sucked under.
then we were offered free coffee for the inconvenience and i like coffee and its even better when its free... but i felt like i was cashing in on someones misfortune...... but it was damn good coffee.
anyways, we finally made it to victoria in time for drinks and teh show and the show was flipping AMAZING.
that is all.
ps... i hope the guy is alright.

I saw NIN this summer and they blew my feckin' mind. I was trying to devise a way to get to Vegas next weekend to see them but alas I don't think it is to be *sigh*
yah i saw them at pemberton, this was my 3rd show and by far the best it was AMAZING.
i dno about the dude i'm assuming he's ok the only word we got when we had reached port again was that the EMT arrived and he was taken away by ambulance.
