Miracle Saturday in my family

At her seniors home during supper time, my grandma started choking on a piece of meat. She couldn't breathe so people at her table started screaming for the nurses (who weren't around). One of the ladies at the table - who is 90 years old by the way - got up quickly, gave my grandma the heimlich maneuver and she coughed it up.
We were pretty thankful...
Next thing I know, it's 1am and I'm at my desk downstairs doing some homework. My brother bursts in the door and i realised something was up because he didn't say hi to the dog. He came up to me super shook up, saying that he needed my help and telling me he crashed his car.
Turns out he was racing to help a friend who had called him in tears, in a more rural area down near the Fraser River, it was dark and he didnt see a stop sign in time and it was a dead end. He tried to turn and his breaks locked, he went straight into the forest/bush and his car kept going... he missed about 5 trees and stopped less than a foot short of one. His car in the end was a good 15 meters in the shrub and trees... one of the trees took off his sideview mirror, to put in perspective how close he was to hitting one.
It was crazy, he could have hit a tree and at 140km, that would be it. He could have gotten impaled or something...
He's definitely a lucky boy. Now all that's hurting is his wallet.
And of course since he's okay, we keep making fun of him about trees and cars and stop signs
One saturday and i could have lost 2 family members!

scary shiz!
glad your okay too!
Glad to here that all is ok, and i guess you bro will have learnt a pretty big lesson by coming that close, it would sure shake you up a lot.
My youthful idiocy on the road, stopped pretty promptly after i had 3 good friends in a crash, thankfully the worst injusy was a broken leg, but it could have been so much worse. I probably would have been with them the night it happened but for the fact i made a quick decision to go away!
I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
