British Columbia... why don't i ever do anything here?!

I'm trying to brainstorm things to do at the end of the month when Hitch-Hiker visits... so I've been looking around the tourism BC and BC parks website... there's so much cool shit to do in this province and i've done hardly ANY of it! There's not enough time in the summer for me to conquer even a few of the things you can do here... and I feel guilty for never finding the time to go be a tourist in my own province...
I go to Vancouver Island quite often and yet I've never gone scuba diving or caving or sea kayaking (i've kayaked a few summers on the mainland but never with whales and to waterfalls and all that crazy stuff!)... I went whale watching once, only ages ago... and visited some cool conservation areas and such...
Granted, its a pretty damn big province... and there are a hell of a lot of parks (i think nearly 500 national, provincial, and marine parks to be exact!)...
One day I'm going to do a roadtrip through the province, and try and hit as many national parks as possible. There's just so much in the way of hiking, camping, kayaking, nature and wild life veiwing... Seriously, if some of you have never been to BC, I strongly suggest it!!!

I live in Victoria but I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK right now for uni. I'll be back at the end of the summer though I can hardly wait to see my dog again - it's been a year. And then the hubby will be coming home sometime in Oct. or Nov. Yay!
i guess you miss the mountains eh!!
I miss the mountains, being two blocks from the ocean, my garden, and the smell of all those things mixed together.
I also miss watching the seals watch a kayaking class learning how to roll
awww, seals are so cute! and at least we don't kill them on the west coast. tho i read yesterday that they are depleting our salmon stock...
we leave the 'getting done' to t dot... and proceed to hate them for no reason afterwards
The city or the Leafs?
I did a lot more stuff on PEI than I do here in Cow Town... people always talk about how much stuff there is to do... but meh maybe I am just not hard core enough. oh wait it is Stampede
Well I could always watch him take out some more players but I cheer for the Oilers  Always have, always will
I like the Oil. I hope they lose 25-0 against Montreal, but anyone else go ahead!
one of my favorites places
pacific rim forest...
one word,,,awesome
all those lil towns are cool
then you have victoria and whatnot
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
Chop off Neil's feet and throw them in the Pacific and wait for them to wash ashore.
Eat lots of stuff with maple syrup in it.
Another thing to do on Van Isle is drive from Shawnigan Lake to Cape Scott on active logging roads! That's pretty scary shit - but wow do you see lots of cool things...
This place is beautiful...we got a pair of eagles up the road (with a baby in the nest), deer everywhere, raccoons, occasionally you get lucky and see a cougar...Just a couple of weeks ago hubby and I were driving between Courtenay and Nanaimo and we saw a HUGE black bear at the side of the highway, lumbering through the grass...So cool!!
Too often we take this place for granted...
Indeed... it has been what a year?
Lose against Montreal? Pourquoi?
one time we drove to tasis on a logging road, that WAS scary shit!
  don't you think the 7 feet they hve had already is enough?
I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
