  • While I think most politicians are probably corrupt and the USA seems WAY fucked up I think Obama is the lesser of two evils. Here in Canada we have enough problems with our own government.

    I'd probably vote Obama.

McCain appears nothing more than a doddering old fool and his deputy genuinely scares me.

  • I'd vote Obama... America's had too many white haired old men ruining their country. I'm interested to see how this turns out :) . He also seems more articulate and will smooth international relations much better than McCain would.

Absolutely. Voting for Obama will do a lot for repairing the world's view of America. I would sure as hell vote for Obama if I was American. He represents a badly needed change and if we're all very lucky he might actually follow through on some of the promises he has made.

well that's doubtful... but American presidents are getting boring. The thought of a black man being president ALMOST excites me :D

i don't really care as far as i'm concerned. but many of my countrymen, i think, are looking closely to the coming US election coz US has been the # 1 ally of my country & will be affected, in a way, regardless of the result of the elections.

  • I'm all for Obama. I think Canadians do care. We are *for better or worse* very closely tied to the states and are globally aware, so with the US being so influential we have no choice but to be interested in/concerned by the leader of the US.

I must admit I havent taken much notice (the last fella scared me too much) but we do get a lot a coverage here on a daily basis so not hard to be in the know.

I was also under the impression about 3 months ago that this Obama chap was a shoe in but Ive since learnt otherwise and have to admit I know nudda about McCain (except he an ex vet).

Im just glad Hilary is not there...if I had to look at that fake smile whilst she points at someone she doesnt even know, one more time I think Id die.

I'd like to Obama get it. From what I've heard people walk away from his rallies with hope for their country they haven't felt for a long time. McCains age and Palin as VP is a scarey combination. Whether we like it or not the US president is not only America's leader but they are the leader of the western world as well. To have her take over if he falls ill or worse. eek!!
I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!
  • Obama is on TV right now...and he's wearing a bowtie.
    Good enough for me.
