    I know. 2 years in a row...it's hard to swallow.

    I'm hoping a new stadium ushers in a new, more focused era next year. We have the potential and the roster to bring us much further. I don't know what part of the equation is missing. Heart? Drive? Motivation?

    Balls would be the missing part. They need people to step up in the clutch. I'm not a Mets fan but from what I've heard from Mets fans' that this is part of the problem.

    I'm not a NY hater (I could care less) like most of the people here in NE. Losing it like that 2 years in a row must be unbearable.
    I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    Should have heard Mike Francesa rip them a new one last night on his NBC show. He says they have to trade either Wright or Reyes, that they dont get heat like Arod does for chokin in big spots, and its about time they do.

    I'm a Yankee fan who's on the outside lookin in, for this to happen 2 years in a row I feel for the fans....this is bad

    Its gonna get harder for the Mets too...the Marlins should be better next year and the Phils have a bunch of talent

    You're missing the point where the Mets' payroll dramatically increases due to them being the bastard mutilitated twin of the Yankees. They're value is going to raise to nearly the likes of the Yankees with their new stadium, and their own TV network.

    Didn't Minaya give up a shitload of players for Bartolo Colon? I cant remember the exact trade when he was with the expos...I think Cleveland made out like bandits

    Omar gave up Grady Sizemore, Brandon Phillips and Cliff Lee. Probably the worst trade evr, save for AJ Pierzynksi for Joe Nathan, Francisco Liriano and Boof Bonser

    also, on Minaya, he turned he Mets AAA roster into a Latino old folks home this year. Half the guys on the team were Latin and in their 30's. Guys who would not be signed by any other team if they were released. Robinson Cancel?

    Jim Duquette. The theory has always been that Al leiter and John Franco didn't like Kamzir, and went to Duquette and told him to trade him. Rick Peterson was in favor of it, believing Kazmir's delivery would end up getting him hurt, and famously saying that he "could fix Zambrano in 15 minutes". For the record, both Leiter and FRanco have vehemnetly denied that they ordered the Kazmir trade

    I was at the Martha Stewart show when he was a guest...talk about a diva. :eek:
    All these adorable little kids were in the front and had things for him to sign...he wouldn't (don't know if that was a Yankees camp thing) and no photos with him.
    Martha did allow one group photo with all of the kids tho.


    I wish I had their humongous tv! :eek:
