yeah but you know the Yankee fans were positive it would come down to Rivera getting to close the game and walk off as THE guy. By the time the game ended I forgot about him to tell you the truth. Yankee fans got what they deserved

checking the boxscore i see 1 2/3 ip with 0 runs crossing the plate
  • and to think the last game that might of been held there was a hockey game  id love to see a Sox-Yanks ALCS, seems like it would already be set in stone if it weren't for those friggen rays

yeah cause the Yankees are SO good this year. Its not the Rays they need to worry about...how about the White Sox or Angels? The Yankees wont even make the post-season

Speaking objectively here, if Aaron Cook didn't pull a Houdini the game would have been perfectly scripted. Rivera would ahve gotten the win in the 10th if the AL could have managed to get a flyball when they had the bases loaded with no one out in the bottom of the 10th.

Rivera did look a little shaky in the 10th, but got out of the jam like he always seems to do.

The thing about Manny is he is like "A Big Dumb Animal".

That is why all of his antics are forgiven. He is not cruel. He is not trying to harm. The whole "Manny being Manny" is the media/fans/teamates way of saying he is a borderline retarded baseball hitting Savant.

It's like how could you hate on an adorable puppy dog just because it did it's business on the rug.

I realize this is a bit offensive, and probably a stretch of the truth. But Manny portrays himself this way.

We as sox fans are lucky to have the guy. He makes the season more enjoyable.

Urinating, talking on the phone, or having a giant drink in the Monster.

    Manny being Manny.

and maybe IF Yankee fans had any class, karma would have gotten their precious Rivera his moment they wanted so bad. Oh well.

Yep, I was thinking that if the AL had scored there, the media probably would have named Rivera MVP as well. Especially if the winning run was a sac fly. I guess the baseball gods are still smiling on RSN and kept that from happening. :)

C'mon, Manny wouldn't be dealing. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing numbers isn't his strong point. ;)

No you may HATE, I on the other hand dislike the NY Yankees. BTW HBO had a great piece on Mickey Mantle, I learned quite a bit which in turn makes me appreciate more of the things he accomplished on the field.
