Absolutely. I was a total wanker at times, although now I can figure how certain paths taken were maybe inevitable, or probable. Thing is, if you weren't who you were then, could you be in the same situation now?

Most of the things i would want to change about my life aren't things I would have the power to change anyway. For the most part I wish I had the power to change some other people's choices. I know I could have dealt was some things in different ways...and as to whether or not I would want to go back and change them...that depends on the kind of day I'm having.

    Good question.

It's easy to say that you would do one or two things different but then where you would have wound up in the present?

I guess the answer might be - if you're unhappy now, sure get crazy with your time machine and fuck with some things and see if you wind up better off.

If you are happy now, tread cautiously in your time machine, or you might wind up miserable or dead.

Plus, you might run into your future and/or past self, and as we all know, that will cause the universe to blink out of existence...

I'm happy with who, what and where I am in my life. How I got here may not have been easy, there may have been easier roads to travel....maybe more interesting roads (ie - going away for college instead of commuting) or safer than the ones I took. But I'm here....I got myself here....I am mine. If I did things differently, I might not be where I am today.

Yeah, there are a few regrets so far but fuck it, I'm young. No point dwelling. Given the choice I'd do a few things differently but I'm not going to yearn for something that's never going to happen.

very few thankfully. but i do have some VERY specific ones....and theyre things i can still "put right".

and putting those things right is my plan of action for the time being (just finished college and not working, so have time to do this).

the regrets that you can fix are the ones worth thinking about.

fuck yeah i feel pumped now :)

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't change and thing except....I would love everyone in my life more deeply, be more in the moment and enjoy the little things in life. Once those you love die....the chance is over.

Oooh I love these types of questions.
After I watched the show Journeyman (which I hope they put out on DVD-it was amazing!), I think I wouldn't change anything, b/c I believe everything happens for a reason,
and if I changed anything I wouldn't be where I am today and I'm supposed to.

    BUT

on the other hand, I deeply regret not having children earlier in life and for the most part, I think if I had a do-over I would do that over. Everything else I've accomplished seems meaningless w/o a partner and a family to share it with. I want to be a mother more than anything else in the entire world.

well then by all means do it!!!!! You do not have to have a husband to have child, it is 2008 and completely acceptable to be a single mom. Don't live your life regretting something that you can easily accomplish. seriously. :D

as far as me - off the top of my head:
*I would have gone to Rhode Island School of Design like I wanted
*I would be an interior designer
*and I would have lived in NYC for a few years
*and I wouldn't have married my ex husband ;) but I would still want my fabulous little guy so I guess the 2 sort of go hand in hand....

    Jose - you a dick? I can't imagine

Nothing major I would change. There's just a few things I missed out on that I would like to go back and be able to do, like some concerts I missed and such.

You do need another party though, I can't do it myself! :D I don't have that person, that's what I meant.

I don't have the financial means to have or raise a child right now. I don't even have health insurance.

In keeping with the topic, what I regret is that I didn't do it when I was younger and in a different life situation than I am now.

    Me too.

A few small things but they are what made me who I am. I think I am stronger for it.... but I am going to stop enabling people.

I would have waited to get engaged and married. I wanted it so badly, I don't know what I was trying to prove, that I was so grown up, or something.. but I made such a deal over it..

I totally love my husband, and I DO NOT regret getting married or anything, but I did suffer through a lot of crap to do about the wedding and stuff, and I wish it hadn't been so important to me.

I also would have dual majored in college if I could have. I spent a year and 1/2 being an Education major, but I went through with the degree in Art. Now I am doing art on the side and trying to be a teacher, but that won't happen till I finish my master's degree in education so I can get certified to teach. Ah, hindsight.

kinda pointless because it could never happen.

Ditto. Knowing how things will turn out if you make certain decisions would play a huge part in the reshaping of my life as I know it.

That show that was on the air briefly a few years ago, Do Over (?), had me daydreaming for days on how I would redo things.
