    Yep, not sure if he is anymore, but he was an original investor with the Diamondbacks and was one of their owners in 2001.

    Let's not forget the METS hat he was blazing in City Slickers...now I know he was playing a character in a movie, but he could've pushed for his character to be a Yankees fan and it would've worked just the same.

    Bottom line, I've never spoken with anyone that remembers Billy Crystal being the #1 Yankees fan he claims to be until they started winning championships again in '96.

    What position should Billy C. play? Easy...he should play 'fan.' I hope Ian Snell pitches Thursday and buzzes him. Snell is a real red-ass. You know, it's so fucking embarrassing to be a Pirates fan. It's bad enough my favorite team stinks, but now they're such a joke that a comedian is going to step into the batter's box and take a few cuts?!? If he gets a hit, the pitcher who allows it should be immediately cut. Tony Kornheiser said Bill C. played some college ball, but that was forty years ago. If he gets a hit I might not even pay attention to the Buccos. Of course I say that now, but Dejan Kovacevik is such a good writer that I know I'll go crawling back to the Post-Gazette's sports page.
