march 17 is amateur hour (not that I'm a player on the pro drinking tour) and plus I like mexican food better, so my vote is for cinco de mayo.

i do like hangin with my irsh friends though but the choices are a bit more to my taste on 5/5 ......but those mexican drunks can get a bit feisty also he he he
I've never done anything for Cinco De Mayo. But then again, I never celebrated Paddy's day until I lived in Ireland. They just didn't seem like a big deal to me. When I was little, we used to go to my grandma's house for cornbeef and cabbage on Paddy's day, but that was always the extent of that.
Oh, I should add that the day I drink the most in terms of these "holidays" is Oktoberfest. I know the real one is more than one day, but in the States they seem to designate one day. I also seem to drink a lot on the day of the bockbierfest...May pole dancing and YUMMY bock beer!!!
I don't need a holiday to give me an excuse to drink.
I don't really do anything special for those days because I'm neither Mexican nor Irish and I don't feel a connection based on heritage to either of those holidays.
as a matter of fact I just made lunch reservations with a college buddy of mine at a mexican restuarant for Monday!!! lol....I told you cinco de maya. I am going to pretend!!

my sister's b-day is St. Paddy's day and my niece's is cinco de mayo!!
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
i'm going with st. patrick's day - only because of the variety of beers and drink mixes.
5/5 is great for dos equis and coronas imo, but i don't drink tequila, so that's a big bummer.
st. patty's day though, whoa nelly!
yep! i don't drink beer anymore cuz it puts me to sleep and i absolutely love tequila....:)
on st. patty's day i don't drink as much b/c i can't do car bombs...blah, it curdles before i can chug it all!
I really dislike St patty's Day. I never go out unless my company holds their NCAA party that same night.
and I love Mexican food, people and drinks!
thats my gal
