Wow. Say it ain't so. Didn't want to believe this when I saw this. That fucking sucks. Definitely puts a damper on my mood today, heading to MSG. I saw him almost 1 year ago to the day in Pittsburgh, PA at Heinz Hall. I remember thinking to myself, and telling my girlfriend and other fans at the show "you never know if you'll get another opportunity to see him again." He was definitely hilarious, influential, and had a longevity few comedians have. RIP George, I'm sure you're in Heaven smiling down on us. (Just kidding)

Great comedian great man. Rember listening to his records with my dad and even seeing him on thomas the train as the little conductor. I think he was either before or after Ringo.

so fucking sad to have read this. He was the best comedian ever. His material is what I looked to that gave me the inspiration to try stand up and will continue to drive me. This is truly a sad day. So glad I caught his live show last year! He'll never be replaced. RIP!

Yeah...this totally sucks! It was bad enough when Sam Kinnison passed away, but George? Damn, he was so cool, and my kids loved him as narrator for Thomas the Tank Engine.

"I distinctly heard Snap, Crackle, Fuck him!"
    "Hand me that piano."

This man was a genius. What a loss.

He was actually just selected to get the Mark Twain prize at the Kennedy Center this year, too. Something he truly deserved.

A few years ago, I passed up the opportunity to see him live. I'd figured I'd catch him some other time. Shame on me. I loved what he did and I'll miss him.

    :( RIP George

I saw him live when I was 18 in Vegas from one of the front tables, he made a joke revolving around my boobs...I was quite embarrassed and proud at the same time. Awesome comedian - he will be missed.

Wow this is not a good way to start Monday... George Carlin was a brilliant and funny man. He influenced 99% of the good stand-up comedy out there today...
