Ok Mr weather man, what would you say is the correct temperature for snow.
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.

I am sure a few degrees either side would be acceptable also though.

well all i know is that if it gets too cold then it cant snow as the air is too dry and their is no moisture.

also clouds help.. if its cold and theres no clouds it wont snow.

i love snow... informer... i didlly diddy diddly dae oo.. i say ah boom boom mah house

i found the answer on a geeky scientist site

If it is too cold, the atmosphere can not hold water.
    No water, no snow.
The most prominent example of this is Antartica, the south pole. The
precipitation at the south pole is minimum, to the extent that it is
categorized as a desert. The precipitation that falls does not melt readily.

    Harold Myron
    =========================================================

    and another:-

The temperature of the air affects the amount of water vapor it can hold.
Colder air holds less water. To have a significant snow, you need
significant water vapor in the air. At temperatures well below freezing
there is not enough water in the air to get much snow.

The exception to this is in places on the lee side of a large body of
water. Here the air need not hold much water, but only keep blowing.

    weather geeks..

it needs to be cold enough for the water to freeze up a bit and therefore become snow. :p we got snow this morning but then the weather warmed up a few degrees so I don't know how long it'll survive.. :o
