People are so generous!

I have to say, that having just got married, I never took into account that we would get presents from people and I have been absolutely overwhelmed by people's generosity. Not only in monetary terms but also the time and effort that people put into our gifts. You don't really think about other people thinking about you and when you find out its kinda hard to take in. I feel so blessed to know the people that I know and to have the life that I have and to know that people actually care about me and my family and that they will take time out of their lives to do something for us is totally overwhelming.

Everyone's nice on vacation! Glad to hear of all the great people in your life!!
"The leads are weak? Fuckin' leads are weak? You're Weak! I've Been in this business 15 years"
"What's your name?"
"FUCK YOU! THAT"S MY NAME!"
aww, you shouldn't say that.
surely you've not met all the people in Texas anyway.
everyone seems to be so stuck on thinking that all Americans are "bad people" but really, just think about it, Pearl Jam are all Americans for example.
there are good and bad people everywhere, sometimes you just get surrounded by the negative type but surely that can't last forever, there's bound to be some positive wandering into your life sooner or later.
anyway, I hope that made sense, lol.
I did a hitch hiking trip through NY, Maine, Mass., Vermont, New Hampshire (and Ontario and Quebec). And the people we met were extremely nice. People took us into their homes, gave us food, money, a place to sleep. People would come up to us on a hot day to bring us some water. Some people drove us to a place where we could easily hitchhike, or a beautiful area where we could hike. A family drove us to Niagara Falls! There was a man who showed us where he lived and said we could go in and take a shower, take food out of the fridge, watch tv, wash our clothes... anything, although we was away for work (and he just met us!).
I was so surprised by the generosity we experienced. I did a similar trip through Germany and the Czech Republic, and people weren't nearly as generous as the Americans and Canadians.

same here. not that I've met that many Americans anyway but still.
the "worst" experience was a Amsterdam airport when I was chatting to this American guy and he went on a bit of a rant about Bush. so that's not bad at all.
