I have not worked out in two and a half weeks. I have been eating bad bad bad! I already gained 6 pounds! I just don't feel like doing it. I had a good routine going from February thru August a now........SLOB!Its amazing how lazy and tired you feel when you dont workout. It also makes it hard since I work from 12 noon until 1am almost everyday.

  • The change of seasons is notoriously bad for people's motivation. Taking 2 weeks off is my trainer's tried-and-true cure for that.

dude! I hear you! I have been running myself into the ground at work (busy time of year, knew it when I took the job) so I haven't been going to the gym. I've had good intentions - bed early, gym clothes ready, etc - and the alarm goes off? yeah right, tuck my ass right back under the covers and snooze. The body needs a bit of a rest but add some crappy food in there and a couple weeks later? I definitely feel slovenly and bloated. Drink plenty of water, you'll see alot of that 6lbs drop quick - most of that is retaining water (hey, it's not just a woman issue!) from the crap you're eating.

back to it tomorrow morning for me.....
believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

type your height and weight in this BMI calculator to determine if you are normal or overweight

the odd thing is, that it does not ask if you are male or female

try taking some vitamin c and some B6 to flush out impurities

  • I haven't had any proper exercise since I came to America 3 months ago. My diet has been made up of burgers, pizza and noodles mainly. I feel like crap. It is mostly my own fault though. Still, I can't wait to get home to decent food and my rugby training.

  • hahah this is funny, im the exact opposite, i havent worked out for like 3 months, and im just getting back into it now. I like hitting it hard fall/winter.

On sept 3rd i will have not drank for 60 days straight. a whole summer with no beer. I have lost 7 pounds and two inches off the gut. Perfectly prepped to get chiseled through the winter.....

i love it when a plan comes together!

it really is incredible how hard it is to start though, but once you do a few sets with weights it usually snaps me back into it. JUST, GOING TO THE GYM IS THE HARDEST THING TO DO SOMETIMES. but you will love it when you get there and kick yourself for having to start all over again....

Well get out there and work out. You have to, even when you don't feel like it - that's the only way. Maybe it helps to focus on why you work out. For me, I like to look decent and feel energetic. If I miss 3 days, I start to feel achy. Normally I teach 12 aerobic classes a week. Just do it. (and I don't wear, advocate or work for nike) The key is finding an activity that you like.

  • I totally haven't worked out in 2 and 1/2 weeks either.. I was on vacation, then my dad was here, then I was lazy, and then I found out that my school has an awesome gym, and its wicked cheap for students to belong, so I quit my old gym, and then couldn't sign up for my new gym till today.. then tomorrow is the last day before Harrison starts school.. which means...

WEDNESDAY is get back in routine day. I'm actually looking forward to it. I feel gross.

    I got to keep pushing!!!!!!!!

    Me as well :o

Though I have been working for 11 days straight and have been able to curtail my diet and have a consistent workout. Lost 4 pounds in that time. I'm always active, just gotta stay away from sugar and white bread.

Then you better be happy how you are ;) I've been eating Lean Cuisine all week. hahahaha

I hate my friends that drink a 12 pack a day and eat 6 times and weigh like 160.
