Our little daily drama's in our personal life, and these shitty wars on our planet are nothing compaired to REAL SPACE.
Watch this clip real quick and see how tiny and unimportant we are in the solar system. Totally Amazing.

Watch when the camera goes into the skin. Cool.

  • I think about this shit all the time. It usually starts off with how little space I take up on the couch. And then how little space the couch takes up in the house. And then how little space the house takes up on the block and so on and so forth until I'm completely freaked out.....

Then I sing one word "insignificance."

    :)

    that's so crazy
i always think about that too  (like Ridin The Wave)
how we're so insignificant (hah...) in the universe. and how their might be another planet somewhere with countries and citizens, and maybe they're doing way better than us, or maybe they're just as fucked. and how space goes on FOREVER. it's crazy. freaks me out.

Thinking about it can really be funny. Like if their are some type of "people" or something there and do they decide what clothes to wear or what to eat or how to style their hair? Fucking funny shit. All this stuff is just less then nothing in the grand scheme of things but in our little lives its everything lol.

Men in Black shows you how small we are ;)

I actually looked at this the other day because of the Binaural cover

if this doesn't freak you out....

Images like this are fucking unreal; the reality is we have no concept. What do you substitute for beyond space? How did this all start, and where the fuck does it go?

The movie, "Contact," highlighted this for me and one of my favorite maps is the National Geographic Universe Map. I can stare at this thing and wonder for hours.

Depending on my mood, sometimes I just get really philosophical about the whole thing...but other times, I totally freak out.....

forget space...even on this planet...countries....states...cities....we all are pretty insignificant. not to say we can't to great and amazing things...but when i walk around in a city of 13 million people....13.....million!....i know how insiginificant i am. personally, i kinda like it. our individual lifetimes don't even equate to a full blink of an eye in the scheme of time, the universe.....i don't think you could even measure how immeasurable small we all are. so that's right....just live, love enjoy...and we all need to get over ourselves. :)

Leo, Jody, etc...what the heck people! :D I mean I know it's Friday and all, but wow man!!! this thread unfortunately brought me right back to a philosophy class i had in college when we discussed the 'vat in the jar' theory of evolution and existance. it was painful...especially when hungover. and the prof was a nutjob.

anyone else wish that they zoomed back down onto the woman's jug instead of the guys hand... it would have been funnier if the guy had 'residues' on his hand as well... ok not funnier... more dirtier.

probably the space station or something... no man made objects ON EARTH can be seen from the moon... great wall of china is mistakenly thought to be able to be seen from the moon.. but its not.

Thanks for making me even more lonely :(

But on that point, if we are so worthless to the universe, why does the announcer think I'd care about cells on the back of some mans hand? :D

i always heard the great wall of china was the only man made object visable from SPACE. which is different from being visible from the moon. anyone who ever thought you could see anything manmade on earth from the moon is just deluded. you all should have seen enough photos to know this is untrue.
