We can see our neighbors baby in its crib on our monitor. WTF?
My wife was freaked out, our daughter was sleeping and my wife was in our room. She looked over to check on her and she saw a nother crib, chair and window! She freaked out, she thought it was like some ghost shit or something at first.
A couple that lives catty corner from us just had a baby so I guess its him.
Weird though. I don't want them listening to what is going on in my house.
How do I fix this??????
Any technical nerds in here? :)

    weird.
But, isn't your daughter 2? Why do you have a baby monitor? I used that with my 1st child until she was 6 months and never used one for my other two children.
    Get rid of it.
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.

Huh? That is very strange and I'm pretty technical, but I have no clue what the hell is going on with your monitor!

Are there selectable channels (ie frequencies) on the transmitter / reciever? If you both have a monitor that is transmitting at the same frequency then your receiver won't know which signal is the right one (anyone remember when the first batch of cordless phones were released to the general public in the mid 80s and cross-talk was quite the ordeal)?

Hey, talk to my wife. She likes to be able to see our daughter while she is sleeping b/c she is on the other side of the house. Our home is rather large, and it was broken into two years ago so she is kinda nervous since that happened.
Is that a good enough excuse for you?

Whoa!! I've heard of this happening with the audio monitors.. but I didn't know that happened with the video ones. That must have been weird seeing another baby on there, supposedly in your daughter's room.
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

Shit, my Parent's would STILL have a monitor on me if they could! hehehehe

They are/were very protective, I think that's a good thing. Since your daughter is only 2 years of age and is across the house....you have to be careful nowadays even with alarms..

Totally, I like being able to see her and knowing that she is fine. I guess some people think their is something wrong with that. Oh well, whatever. ;)

Wrong with making sure their little toddler is okay by herself in her room? What the hell?

Haha the monitors, leashes and general over-protection of kids are out of control nowadays. It's a wonder that any kid lived pre-1985.

You never see kids playing by themselves anymore.
People put their 10 year olds in day care (wtf?).

It's a pretty fucked up world that kids go into now.

I agree with you to a point, Kids need to be kids and need to be allowed to get banged up and dirty. But there is nothing wrong with being protective, their just needs to be a limit. You want the child to be confident and strong. But when it comes to the safety of my daughter I would rather be safe then sorry. A lot of sick fucks out there that I don't want near her.
Oh and the 80's were a different world then it is now. The internet has alowed children to be exposed to a whole new typr of predator. Way way different now then in the 80's. I speak from experience.

    Overprotection never hurt anyone...

Yes it does, all the time. There are too many kids these days that can't be independent or self-sufficient. And it starts right off the bat. Don't just think "Oh, well, my daughter is only 2 now, I have plenty of time to teach her to be independent later." It doesn't work like that, for you or for her. Once habits are formed it's hard for even parents to break them in themselves, let alone the ones in their child that they may have cultivated.
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

Your wife is pretty hot - maybe your neighbor set it up that way so he can see her come dressed in her nighty to check on your daughter  :D

One time at work my yahoo messenger got crossed with a co-workers, so we were seeing each other's conversations, but not our own (fortunately it was all work related!!!) Not sure how that happened, but it was reallllly freaky.
