Need job interview advice.

I have not been on one for a long time because I own my own business. I work it at night and weekends 6 months out of the year b/c is a seasonal boardwalk business. Anyway, the job is daytime sales for a beer distributor which will be perfect if I get it.

I need advice on what to expect. I guess I am just nervous.

    they usually ask something like: "tell me about yourself"

    I'm not kidding...About 1 hour ago, I had a guy show up for an interview shit-faced. Best part is, the interview was for a truck driving position! Who shows up at an interview drunk to begin with, but especially if it's for a driving job. IDIOT!

    Be sure to tell them that your weakness is working too much or that you're a workaholic. They love that.

    I've interviewed people and the main thing I look for is being competant, being kind, and being reliable. Discussing your previous job history will cover the compentancy part, and checking references should cover the reliability part. So just sell yourself the best you can, but don't be cocky -- I hate when people are cocky in interviews! You need to come off as a nice person -- someone they'd like to see everyday. Good luck!

    Make sure to talk. It helps give a sense of who you are. Be smart about it, but make sure to talk, I hate interviewing people who dont talk.

    There was one question I was aked in an interview that caught me off guard. "Name three things you don't like about yourself". Wasn't expecting that one!

    Know the product
    Be Yourself (or in your case don't mention gypsies!!!) ;)
