does it matter if you are in the back of the Orchestra or in the Mezz? Is the view pretty decent from anywhere?

if anyone knows... i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Not from what I remember. But i was in the fourth row in 02 so I wasn't too worried about it....But Tony Hawk had seats behind me in like the 20th row and I think he was able to see fine.
  • Yes, view is pretty decent from anywhere. I've never been to a SEATED show there (the many times I have been to the Wiltern have been standing floor), but the floor is small so you'll still be able to see well if sitting at the back.

The mezzanine is cool, too. I've sat up there by choice for a few shows (sometimes I just prefer to sit for three hours rather than stand) and the view is very good.

Of course, you'll always want to be closer than you are, no matter where you're sitting...but really, anywhere in the Wiltern is going to be a good view. You're not going to need binoculars or anything.

I've found (after 4-5) shows there that I like sitting in the balcony the best...especially the LOGE which is the first section of the balcony. You're got a great view and can relax.

The floor (for standing room only shows) sucks because the stage is lower than the floor so if you have a bunch of tall people in front of you you not only have to fight their height, but the fact that the stage is lower. This happened to me at Editors a few weeks ago and I could barely see the band (I'm 5' 10") and had to be happy with just listening to the music and catching glimpses of the band members as they moved about. Now, if you're in the pit for standing shows, you're all good.

Being as this is all seated, I think everybody will have a great view.

unfortunately, I have to do the ticket broker thing :(.

I'm wondering....if you were in the first row of the Loge or Mezzanine, are there any problems seeing through a railing? I've been to a few baseball games where this was the case.

How about the last row of the loge? Would you not be blocking anyone's view? I just don't want to pay 3x for a ticket and get a bad one :D!

there is a walkway in front of the first row of the mezz, so there are always people walking buy, and some of them stop to have alook at the stage.

The Loge is very secluded, so there is no one in your way, etc.
  • not for nothing, because there really isn't a bad seat because it's small, but the only place I've sat there is the upper balcony; it is too steep and there are a lot of people in front of you. I don't like balcony seating but the wiltern balcony is an uber-balcony in that sense.
  • I was just there and had row 3 in the loge which was an excellent view. Anything loge is probably great. I've been in the mezzanine before and the higher rows are definitely a bit far (relatively speaking).
