They were supposed to do GI Joe before but changed it to Transformers.
  • This could only be good if the movie is actually a compilation of the remix videos.

i own gi joe the movie already....the animated version. it is quite good still. and yes i owned many figures and still have a few. they are still interesting to look at....many great memories are recalled. playing in the yard and listening to the locusts, in the evening hoping the sun never set.

we should have a gi joe party.

im a huge gi joe fan, i still read the comics, but i have little faith in this movie. they are making gi joe a international army thing so they dont offend non-americans with the idea that the greatest soliders are americans. they also hired a black actor to play some smaller gi joe but they decided to demote duke so that he outranked duke so they had a high ranking minorty. why not just hire that actor to play duke? they have done it before some times it works sometimes it doesnt, like catwoman. well that movie sucked, i dont think too many people complained about a black lady being catwoman, she just had to be good looking and berry fits that role. seems like they are trying so hard to be politically correct that they will gut what gi joe is. just let cobra plan to blow up the world and have the joes step in. simple enough.

i like the comics for sticking to the gi joe universe and not ours. cobra is still the bad guys. i think in like 2 issues since 9-11 radical muslims were mentioned at all. destro is still the big weapons dude that sells to everyone. the idea of iran or n korea getting nukes never comes up. i just have a bad feeling they will make this movie about bin laden building nukes or something related to present day.

few issues ago cobra invaded american and captured the president and it wasnt bush or anything like him. the president in the comic is from what seems mentioned a respectable guy trying to do whats best for america. a president that america likes, thats something we havent seen for awhile in media. gi joe just doesnt get involved with real life issues much.

depending on what side they place storm shadow. but if this movie has a awesome snake-eyes vs storm shadow ninja battle im there.

  • I loved gi joe as a kid, too. But dude, it's "YO Joe!"

I was going to write pretty much exactly this. Making GI Joe international makes it NOT GI Joe.

thats not true. gi joe was formed before cobra. and gi joe works for the us government. they may hire non-americans on the roster but that doesnt make them an international army.
