My wife and I went out to dinner on Saturday with her brother who lives in the city.
We went to a fucking great restaurant around the corner from him called "Melangrano's" Not sure of the spelling. Awesome food, BYOB.
Then we went for drinks at a bar called "Bards".My kind of pub. Good time.
Any of you been to these places?
They are right near Rittenhouse Square.

I think you mean Melograno's? Never been there but have heard good things. The Bards is a nice pub. I used to play darts there fairly often when a few of my friends lived in Rittenhouse Square. I still stop by there every once in a while. It is a really good pub.

visted the house where betsy ross lived.....
had to step over a bum who was urinating on himself to get in to the place....
ah philly.....great memories!!!!!!
hehehehehe................
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
We ate there late summer, and I really like it. One thing that I really liked is that the three of us who went don't eat meat, and they had a great selection of no meat entrees.
Even though it was really busy, the chef even came out and asked if we would like an original veggie entree not on the menu. He used us as his experiment on a veggie entree he was trying out.
Nice people in there.
I like the Philly restaurants that don't have a liquor license, too. BYOB is a lot cheaper.
Yup,,,, had a pint or two at Bards, too. Ok, maybe more than that. Great pub.
I don't ever remember urinating in front of the Betsy Ross house, though, so it wasn't me, Speedy.
