Hey New Yorkers! Question?

I am going to the New York Gift Show at the Javits Center on the 3rd and 4th of February. Staying in Time Square. Can any of you recommend a nice restaurant? Something pretty nice but not over the top. IE: One year my snob father told me to go to Rene Pushol (Spell?). Very very high end french place. For two, the bill and tip was almost $400.00!!!!!
What a dick to recommend that place. The waiter stuck his nose up when I ordered a $40.00 bottle of wine.
High end but not that high end please ;)
