Return your ipod and get a Zen. Once you go there, you're never going back!

highlight the songs you want to take off, press control key and click on all the one you dont want...right click...delete. To put new songs on, drag the songs/folder into itunes, where all your songs are listed.

  • When you have your iPod plugged into the computer, open iTunes. Select your iPod in the left column under "Devices." The first page that will appear will be titled summary. There will be three headings on the left: iPod, Version, and Options. Under Options, the third selection down will be "Manually manage music and videos." Once you select this option, the iPod will no longer sync automatically when the iPod is connected. You add songs by dragging songs from you music library to the iPod. To delete songs, simply go to the music tab when your iPod is selected under devices. Now simply select the songs you want to delete and hit the delete key. You could also check "Sync only checked songs and videos" option, but you will have to uncheck all the songs you do not want automatically snyced. I find it easier to just use the manual option.

I have had an iPod for 2 years, never had a major problem. Everyone I have ever known with a Zen (at least 6 people) has had to have at least 2 replacements.

    FACT.

Well, I've had my Zen for about two years and I've never had a problem.

So make that 6 out of 7 people! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

The delete key on your keyboard, which on my Mac keyboard is the Backspace key. Just use the mouse and click the checkbox next to the name of the song. Only the songs that are checked will be automatically synced to the iPod.

YES! The computer sees the iPod as an external drive, at least on a Mac it does. Therefore, before you disconnect it, you have to eject it. If you are using the sync feature, I think closing iTunes automatically ejects the iPod.

I also have questions about my iPod. I've had it for a couple years and since then my pc broke. Well, I was told you cannot upload music from someone else's computer. Is this true?? I haven't added new music in literally YEARS
