He was the white guy in the 80's with the afro who would paint on TV.

" I think I 'll paint a happy tree right here. Ah yes right next to the babbling brook" (In a soft voice)

Haha, he was mesmerizing. He was on tv before my pot smoking years, but I would love to tok up and watch him ;)
So peaceful.

  • What a great guy. Sometimes his show will pop up on PBS still and I will watch it and still be amazed at how he could do that.

Painting w/ a blade? What a great idea.

Hmmm...that's weird, I remember a Chinese Bob Ross, with a crew cut, and he sculpted on the radio.

  • I adored that guy! He was totally inside the painting walking around looking for the next spot to pop a tree or flower up. Causally strolling through the mental landscape of creation.

    I loved Bob Ross!!
IF YOU WANT A PLATE OF MY BEEF SWELLINGTON, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY THE COVERCHARGE.
  • I do. I am not shitting you, and I am sure there are millions like me, but when I was in my youth, I would smoke a doob on the way home from school, grab a bag of cheetos and watch Bob bust out one of the greatest paintings using a fucking RAZOR that I ever saw.

The happy little trees and flowers, and animals and shit. It was great. His voice was so calming.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

I saw some other guy last week that was pretty close to Bob. He can't ever be replaced, but this guy was just like him. It was also on PBS too.
