Almost Famous.
Cameron Crowe did a awesome job on this film.
If interested you should http://www.imdb.com it. I few Pearl Jam parts. Like McCreedy helping with the main riffs during the concerts.
The little thing the band does together before they go on stage, well they got that from PJ. Pretty cool.
Also it has some truth to it. Crowe did this with the Allman Bros.
He also got the band fighting stories from Zeppelin.

Best movie ever!

its one of my favorite movies. if i could choose my life to go a certain way, it would be exactly like william's in that movie (and cameron crowe's in real life). to go on tour with rock bands and write for rolling stone. thats as good as it gets. great movie, great soundtrack, great acting.

The good thing about Good Will Hunting is since Affleck and Damon are from Boston they get the accent down perfect. I hate watching movies or show with people trying to do our accent. They sound fucking stupid.

Damon is perfect when he say, "I got her numbah. How do you like them apples?" Perfection.

If I had to choose another one it would be Shawshank Redemption. Love that flick.

I've always wondered what the first thing they said to each other on that beach at the end was.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    pulp fiction.
  • Dead Man. Jim Jarmusch, Neil Young, Johnny Depp...i don't know why exactly but it just works for me like no other. Only movie i can watch over and over again...preferrably alone since most people i know consider it to be too boring.

It was a good movie, but I understood it was based largely on his experiences travelling with Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant has even (very bashfully) admitted to the 'golden god' stunt. Anyway, I saw it once, I enjoyed it, and btw, it was also the first time Zepp had ever allowed any of their music to be used on a movie soundtrack...ever, ever, ever !
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....
  • fell asleep in the theater when I went to see it. not bad though from what i've seen on TV

Check out the info on Zepplin on imdb. Its either under the movie or i read it on Wikipedia under Crowe. The band he toured with was Allman bros.

I'm not gonna argue bro, I just for some reason thought I'd read that he toured with Zepp when he was like 15 or something, and it was loosely based on his experiences with them, along with otheres sure.
For sure, Ive heard Planty questioned on the 'golden god' thing, and he was very bashful, but 'kinda' admitted it.
Whatever though, I'm no authority on either.

  • Jamie Uk, being from the UK, have you seen the movie "Green Street Hooligans"? I have yet to meet someone from your neck of the woods that has. It is based in England. It stars Elija Wood. I am not a fan of him but I like the movie. Its a guy flick with a lot of fights

    Bahh, knowitall !!
Oh I meant, the first good movie :D. I guess they told us Zepp here, cos we never heard of the Allmans (well, not hardly)
Funny how you read this crap, believe it, then find out it it crap!
I know Jack Black sent a 'begging video' to the 3 Zepp boys when they refused admission for School of Rock, then they caved in...or is that bull shit too? ;o
