Why do people panic about tickets?

The scalper web sites are selling tickets for half price on some sights. One broker is selling balcony tickets for $24.00.

    I have a friend who likes to say "There is ALWAYS a ticket." He usually buys tickets to shows (other than PJ) very late, often the day of the show.

    When there is Bruce and Maroon 5/ counting crows some on the cusp fans would choose those other shows. All the die hards have bought their tickets. I wish I waited and got two tickets fro the price I paid. If there was nothing else in town and it was one night this ticket would be impossible.

    For me personally I want my tix as soon as possible so I just don't have to worry about it anymore.

    For all 3 PJ shows Ive been to I got tickets after (in 2 cases WAY after) they went on sale and it was a hassle.

    Yup.

    with the exception of PJ, my brother never buys tickets to any show until the week of, even big shows. I've never had a problem going to any show I wanted to, big or small. In 2005 I even saw u2 for face value, when single tickets were being scalped for $1000.

    That is exactly why tickets are always available late, because most people like that security and don't like to have to worry. I can understand that; but if you can be patient, more often than not, you shall be rewarded.
