Bought a surfboard (SUP)

Yup...it's in my livingroom still in its shrinkwrap....all 11' 6" of Laird Hamilton! Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can put this puppy in the ocean!!

Thanks to Ed for shining a light on a sport that is EXACTLY what I'd been looking for: the (effing) kayaking and log rolling just didn't work out. Stand-up Paddle surfing is the shit!!

Anyone else here got one? I'd LOVE to hear your stories!!

    Laird still sits in the living room. Thought that I might go for the maiden voyage today, but while the air is warm...the ocean is still MIGHTY cold (maybe 38 degrees US)...and, duh, I still don't have a paddle! Apparently, a long tree branch or driftwood would not work as well or at all...My husband said that would be tooooo lame...but you know, it's not like anyone else in our community here has an SUP board....

    C'mon SUMMER!! Hurry UP!!!
