In about two months when I move from this shithole I call home....but as for a current answer getting the clearance that my business is set to go.....the thought of working for myself and not being a peon turning the cog of a large corporate wheel makes me so happy...maybe one day I will have peons of my own that feel the same way....j/k....lol.....people will like working for us.....
What's in August?
It looks like me, my gf and her kids are booking a holiday.

When I got accepted into my first choice Graduate School, and finally found a new job that I am totally looking forward to...
Lets just say I am a very happy person, generally, but things have been great lately.

It takes balls to put out a UKE album!
I was riding my new mtn bike, which I was pretty jazzed about buying. By "caught" I don't mean caught like in the park rangers catching me or anything like that. I just mean that I was out there unexpectedly.
Anyhow, that very same evening I had been told that there had been multiple bobcat attacks in that park.
It wasn't like a park like where you play frisbee with your dog. It was a wilderness type park, but it wasn't exactly the redwood forest either. It was something in between I guess. Basically, but it was a big-ass hiking area.
So, I was scared shitless when it started to get really dark. I had attained some elevation by riding my bike up this trail, and I honestly did not know how much further I had to go before getting to the peak of this enormous hill and eventually to the other end of the trail loop.
I decided it would be best to just turn around being that it was dark and I was scared shitless of having my face torn off by a ferocious cat.
It's amazing what the body is capable of when it is pumped with adrenaline. And the darker it got, the more adrenaline I had. Luckily I had a bike lamp, but it wasn't a very strong one. It was just bright enough to let me see what was directly in front of my wheels.
I flew down that hillside faster than I had ever flown down a trail before that night and ever since. I just wanted to get back to the parking lot as soon as I possibly could.
Of course, it was a not a very smooth trail. It was full of big rocks, dips...you name it. But, to my absolute amazement, I was able to maintain balance as I hopped over rocks and leaped over dips.
I was a fucking madman. I hauled ass like I had never hauled ass before. And when I finally got back to the parking lot, I looked at my watch and realized that I had torn ass down that hillside and across that last stretch of trail for 20 minutes non-stop at full stride.
I am not what you would call a serious mtn biker, so the whole experience blew my mind and stuck with me for months after that.
Unfortunately, that was the last time I tried anything like that because I have serious back problems and the bumpy ride of a typical park trail aggravates my sciatica and leaves me feeling mighty regretful.
But, it wasn't since I had bodyboarded (sponged) 15 ft. Windansea on a perfect, glassy day that I experienced that much of a rush from anything.
