That doesn't sound too scary:p... seems like you had an encounter with one of them cute mice. Did it look like this?:D

it wasn't scary, it was weird. :p what was scary was them butterflies in our kitchen!

I didn't worry I might crush it when I picked it up, but I had to hold it somewhat firmly so it wouldn't have jumped off and then I was a bit worried.

and it looked nothing like that. jaysis. that's not even a cute mouse. :p

  • when i was younger we had a bit of a mouse problem at home, and my dad was cleaning the pantry cupboard out and vacuuming up the mouse poo, when he saw a mouse sitting on the shelf. He sucked it up the vacuum  and that was the end of that little mouse

After a while, my ex managed to get the fire off the wall

He got the fire off the wall? There was a fire on your wall?

the thought of doing anything other than taking it outside alive never even crossed my mind. :)

I'm sure the mouse would've done the same for me. ;)

  • We got a rat problem where I work. The traps usually get about 1-4 a day, but there's still plenty of them.

You need to use the Bucket O' Death. Fill a bucket part way with water (big enough bucket that they can't get out), put in some bird seed....they'll find it and won't be able to get out. You have to deal with disposing of them, just like traps. But it does work (I had discovered it's usefulness by accident at my barn. Over time, I found enough mice in my horse's 1/2 empty water buckets to realize it's a handy idea for home too).

Mice, chipmunks and squirrels....not allowed in my house. They've got lots of acorns, seeds, etc outside (I have 4 huge oaks in my yard and am on 2 acres). Yes, they're animals and I do care for animal life, love all creatures....but aside from my own domesticated pets, not in my house. They'll get the bucket treatment if I find a problem with them in here.
believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

I was being serious. It's rare to come across somebody that has a heart for rodents. :)

:) well thank you again in that case.

I have a heart for all animals. given that they're not trying to kill and/or eat me. :D

  • Mice are cute, we had a problem with them awhile back at home, the boyfriend wanted to use poison but there was no way I was letting him kill the poor little things.

  • here in south florida we have lots and lots of little lizards (anoles) and geckos.
we are constantly chasing them around the house and putting them back outside where they belong.

last week my husband woke up and turned on the light... when i asked him what he was doing, he told me a lizard had just crawled over him.
he found it and put it outside.

    eeeeek.

i have never killed a lizard and never will.
i like them ... they eat lots of bugs!
i just don't want them in the house!

    * we also have basilisks and iguanas in the yard but they don't come inside thank goodness - that would be scary!!

they are really cute and fun to watch.

ok, the iguanas aren't exactly cute but they are interesting creatures to observe :)
unfortunately they are non-native and sort of taking over in this area.

not necessarily. a wasp might try to kill me but does that put it above me in the food chain? :p

it will only kill you if you are alergic to them, or get stung by lots of them!
they will not eat you though, so somehow they fit into the picture some otherway!
