Is it bad if I'm on here during class?

Science is so damn boring, and I suck at it. But I don't suck at talking about Pearl Jam, so wouldn't it make sense to spend more time here? ;)

I spent the entire day here today. I think I went to the bathroom today longer than I did any actual work at my job. Is that bad?

Pretty sure it is. Please don't show this message to my boss.

    Thanks

  • Haha nice. Sometimes I leave early from my 1st or 3rd period class and go to the library computers, where inevitably I end up here.:D

I agree. It's a science class Monday and Wednesdays from 7:55-9:10. It's miserable, I'm a broadcast journalism major and I'm required to take it. I'd rather be...I'd rather be with...I'd rather be with an Animal...haha...I'm soooooo punny.

I am embarrassed to say I come on here during work, too! Usually it is just during a lunch break, but my mind does occasionally wander when I have to do too much computer work in my office. As much as I love my job, I am currently working a not-so-interesting replica study as part of my fellowship. It involves spending far too much time in front of my computer looking at un-stimulating graphs, charts, case studies, not to let my mind wander.

I wish I had a computer at work to go on here. I am forced to share time on the comp with my wife. I am hoarding it tonight.

    Go away honey.

Nope. I do it in Math all the time. (Though it's an all-online class that you can even do at home - so I don't really miss anything.)

Science is very important! Ok may be people can suck at sicence but a lot of important decisions are made without a proper understanding of science, people think "the secret" is real, or big foot is living in their backyard, or haunted houses, or a president sent by god or whatever, i'm not saying that everybody need master in science, but a lot of the problems right now comes from a lack of undestanding of basic scince principles.

But every two clases is mandatory to spend the whole day talkng in forum about the most important topic why PJ is not making a record every year and touring constantly leveing behind family and friends fans can fill those needs!

Oh I know it's very important. I just suck at it. That's why I go on the radio, and TV, and stage, because it's easier than learning science, for me at least.

This is why I don't take my pc to class. I know what I would wind up doing. This is why it takes me forever to write papers even when I am at home...I just can't stay away.

  • i handed in my paper late because i was on here instead of reading what i had to read for the paper. im always on here! the last time i didnt come on here, i missed something big. i dont remember what it was, i just remember missing out on like, a chance to get tickets to a show or something, so now im here all the time. and it's funny, i'm usually on here when i'm in biology class. im a psych major and i would see how psychobiology or even a biology class where i learn about how things in the body works together or something would help me for my major, but no, im learning about amino peptides and crap like that. i dont care! ugh!

It probably is bad, but Im certainly not one to be taking advice from. I spent my enitre class period today texting my friend ignoring nearly everything. I dotn care though cuz its a freakin algebra support class.

You have no idea how many times I wish I could just go on the pit with my phone... I have a damn Moto q9m with no internet, sucks.

    Science is boring???

You obviously have no interest in how things work and why they are the way they are.

I would say science is 10x more interesting than most of the crap on here.

I'm from Plainfield, but I go to college right now in CT at Quinnipiac University. My dad teaches at Kean though.

Ok, I should correct myself. It isn't boring, but I find basic physics boring, and that's what I'm learning.

Yup. I'm required to take a science class, and this is the most basic one there is.

i hear ya, i was a music and creative writing student... math and science were like foreign languages to me. Tough it out, one day you might be asked to write an article about physics and you'll nail it!!

broadcast journalism, aye? hows the program there? my brother wants to be a sports commentator and is interested in sports journalism. do you really have to be good at writing? i dont know which SAT you took, but he got a 550 in the writing section, he basically sucks at it. do you think broadcast journalism is the thing to do when you wanna be a commentator?

I was the total opposite. My English/humanities classes in college were pure torture for me. It required all of my energy just to focus! Good thing the Message Pit, wireless internet and laptops were unheard of when I was in college! :)

It's one of the best programs in the northeast behind Syracuse, but, I love it at Quinnipiac because we get opportunities to broadcast. I've called everything on the radio from soccer to lacrosse, basketball, baseball, but mostly ice hockey, and our team is a top 20 team in the nation. You don't have to be great at writing, but it helps. If you want to be a sports commentator, this is exactly the major to take.
