I'm not a Rays fan, but it was great to see them finally get to the World Series. Hope they win it all! Congrats Tampa!

    I was just glad to see the Red Sox lose. I don't mind the Rays though... I'll be rooting for them over the Phillies.

    But as a baseball fan, I have to say I think this a great matchup. It would be boring if it had been two teams everyone expected to be there. This is a series that reminds me of whats great about sports.

    Finally get into the world series? Finally? They've been in the league 10 years. You can't say finally. Try 100 years of not winning it for Cubs fans and 63 years of not making it. There are plenty of teams that have suffered longer then 10 years. Sorry didn't mean to go off, just still bitter about the 2 consecutive sweeps out of the playoffs. I hate the fuckin' cubs!     As a baseball fan, I LOVE IT!! Something new, something different, and two good stories really.

    Change is a good thing, call it luck, call it parity, call it whatever, but I am glad that there are NO Yankees, Sox, Mets, Cardinals, or Braves(and I am a LIFELONG Braves fan)!!

    Both teams played their asses off to get there, and neither were EXPECTED to get far.....Angels, Cubs, Dodgers were all on a roll going in to the playoffs...Nice job Rays!! Now just beat the F-ing Phils!! :D

    I really don't understand the last part of your post. Why do the Red Sox deserve to fall more than any other team? They went through 86 years of missery and finally they have hit a few golden years. Your post made no sense.

    Tampa was a better team all year. They are loaded with talent and deserved to win the series. The Red Sox will be back next year, and it will be a competitive division yet again.

    (and if the Dodgers didn't luck out and get Manny, the Diamondbacks would have probably taken the NL West .. would have done some damage in the playoffs with their short rotation)

    Anyway, my roto team is stocked with Rays ... these guys have mega talent, and totally deserve to be where they are, it was no fluke. (and wait 'til next year when David Price is in their rotation, he got the best stuff out of all of them!)

    I just hope they don't go the way of the Marlins, win a world series, then, have to sell off 50-75% of their studs within 3 years because they cannot afford them. I *hate* that part of babseball ...
