The drums in that song literally made me (and I do mean made me) buy "Narrow Stairs". I've never had the desire to buy a Death Cab For Cutie album ever before but that song slammed me.

But I hear your complaint. It's a real one.

people do ALL sorts of things for the 'wrong reasons'....and while i agree it's sad when people marry for the wrong reasons, it IS their own choice. i think what's truly sad in such situations is rooted mostly in lack of self-esteem and/or self-awareness to know what you want and need, and most importantly...what you truly deserve. still their choice though. whereas wars started for the wrong reasons and things of that nature....far more infuriating, and destructive.



i LOVE death cab and i have all their albums and listen to them often. i had to look up what song you were referring to ......and i just had to put on my ipod to listen. i guess i haven't listened to all the lyrics on narrow stairs all that carefully just yet. i've enjoyed the song, merely from a muscial perspective.


*oh, and the song AFTEr it....talking bird...pisses me off, mostly b/c i think it's the biggest pos that death cab has ever written/recorded.....

does the beginning of "no sunlight" remind anyone else of satan's bed? whenever it shuffles in on my ipod i think for a second that's what it is.

and that may be one of the worst songs of the year. well, maybe not THAT bad, but still. Mars the album a bit for me. Way lame.
