I joined the message pit. I didn't even know about the AET until a year later. :o Mostly lurked...never really started posting until last summer. But I'm glad I did! I've encountered some really great people.

So I wrote a REALLY cheesy poem...I'm warning you, it is cheesy, feel free to laugh at me, but here it is:


Ode to message pit

Some of you I've met and travelled with to PJ shows
had some fun experiences such as sneaking on German trains, going to meet-ups,
being so excited for concerts, you know how the story goes

Some of you I've never met but have gotten to know you well
through msn and facebook
I consider you my friends and think you all are swell

Some of you I'll get to know
at Bridge School benefit we'll meet
and hopefully at many other shows

One of you, I'm SO sorry about the way things ended
Your texts, your accent, your songs, and your witty sense of humour always made me smile
So I'm so happy I got to know you
Even if it was just for a little while...

One of you I'll soon meet
As I take a journey to a far-away land
filled with hokey-pokey ice cream and people who have hobbit feet

Some of you, I've never even spoken to
but your threads provide me entertainment
and make me laugh when I feel blue

All of you share a love for a band
A truly amazing a band
that my "real life friends" just don't understand

So...thanks again. :o

    Yeah, it is always great to meet some new pj fans.

    Either that or I'm just showing what a super nerd I am! :o:p

    Yeah, you are one of my faves...always making me smile or laugh when I need it most. And you indulge me in my love of potty humor lol

    And I never said it, but thanks for telling me about honey lagers! :D I really enjoyed them in Vancouver!

    Oh yeah! Seeing as how you live there an all. You know, the Mavs used to be one of my favs (of course the Kings had to be my team). Maybe you can tell Dirk hello for me when you move. ;)

    Well, thanks to pit, I've gotten to know great people from all over, and then is handy when I need advice on planning my trip!
