I also miss Why So Serious as well, on the lighter note of things.

I made a thread for a petition that we want him to stay. But noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo that's gotta get deleted right away too.

It doesn't matter though. (Apart from the fact the mods don't like it). I don't see what's wrong. It just means some people have more in common and can relate better. *shrugs*

Yes, I've seen it happen too, but I think it's mostly harmless although I have seen it be highly detrimental at times. It's unfortunate that there's a fine line much of the time and not everybody operating within the framework has good intentions. I can see why it's intimidating for many people and why the mods keep a watchful eye out for it.

:D As you know, I'm pretty much always one for calling a spade a spade. :D

Well mostly it doesn't matter and there's nothing wrong with discussing things with like minded people and enjoying the company of people that you have things in common with but not everybody getting themselves into that kind of mindset is self regulating and makes sure not to be exclusionary.
Because that's one of the things that I see happen with cliques around here that most definitely the mods need to arbitrate.

Maybe you're right and maybe you're wrong. I thought that before but then just wondered if people just don't have anything to say in response at that particular time. Besides, you once implied that I was following someone around for whatever reason which proves you may just be wrong about some people.

the cliques are here stong as ever. they always have been, and always will be.

but when it comes down to it, its always just a select few that feel what the have to say is so much more important than what others have to say.

there are only a select few here, that really try hard to stir up shit, and we all know who they are. so when it comes down to it, if you let yourself get involved in threads started by those few, its on you.

when i first came back to this board about 5 months ago, i tried to be nice to everyone. now i just choose not to even try to have any kind of real "conversation" with those few that love to be the center of attention, and or stir up the shit.

at the end of the day, its just a message board, and aside from about maybe 10 people here, i just dont really care much anymore.

i have made some good online friends here, and a few over the phone friends, so its all good.
    Peace, Love.

well I do notice the mods cracking down a lot....but I'm not sure how strong they are but maybe Im a part of a clique...I hope not, but sometimes you can't help but thinking people perceive you as such.

But yeah when someone tells you as I was told a while back that "your not one of the cool kids" on here you know there is a problem :P but that person is gone now so yeah.

But someone told me that there isn't any such thing as cliques on a message board.. I dunno, I just think this place is a lot more enjoyable then it was back in 2005.

You know, I was about to respond to this post and I realised something else. Sometimes it's easier to respond to people that you feel more comfortable with. Sometimes you feel you can have a joke with some people but you're not sure how others will take it. It's not about disliking other people, at least, not as far as I'm concerned. I try to communicate with everyone but sometimes I feel more comfortable being honest with some than with others.
There's definitely cliques but I don't think it's quite as sinister as Jeanie (name drop) and some others seem to think.

You just about nailed it right there. I still try to respond to everything I think I could have input in, whether it's just joking around having fun to try and move the day along, or if I feel I have advice that could help someone seeking it.

It is true though how someone might take something the wrong way if you start joking and they take it the complete wrong way.

In the end, I come here with the pre-conception that I can be everybody's friend and that we all share at least one common interest already that can bring us together to chat, have a good time, help each other out, and share our interests, and always welcoming new people.

Coming here with an attitude of I'm only looking for a few certain people to have a thread with, talk to, ignore and belittle the rest and just not care can kill the mood sometimes.

Did anyone show up to Helen's meet-up at that Hudson street bar last summer? I walked in, heard Deep playing (wearing my Green Disease T, being as obviously from the pit as possible), but no PJ fans in sight.

Yeah thanks for this one too.

I see that chatting about other people in pm and behind the scenes isn't enough for you anymore but I would ask that you refrain from discussing me on the open forum when I'm not around to defend myself.

I'm sorry? You keep bringing up cliques as though you think there's something sinister behind it.
