While as far back as the 1970's, Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) has had a drinking problem in the comic books....so it does kind of fit Robert. :D

Did he have a massive drug problem going in and out of rehabs and probably still on drugs? :)

Just the bottle......until the last decade, comic books in the U.S. were published with the Comics Code Authority seal of approval....a last vestige of some of the 1950's witch hunts. Drug use by a comic book character was a complete no-no. Any such book would not received the CCA stamp of approval....which actually did not mean much as time went on.....so it was just the bottle and womanizing for ole' Iron Man.

i don't think it should matter what's artists favourite poison is, what should matter is the end result i.e. their acting in the movie.

look at all those rock musicians there were/are on drugs and produced great music!

just go see the damn movie

he was really good in it. Kind of unjustly stereotype him and don't even give him a chance.

    Stone Gossard...riffmeister extraordinaire!

I am a man, I am advanced.....I am the first man to borrow Stone's leather pants!

Mrs. Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow. In what could be one of her last roles, I hear.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

I hate Gwyneth Paltrow as an actress... I hope she doesn't ruin the movie for me! I can't believe she has a Best Actress award:confused:
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

No. At the end of Iron Man, really at the end of all the credits, you get a preview of the next comic book character to make the jump to the big screen.

He's been sober for years now.

Do all your past mistakes follow you around forever?

    why should his?

give the guy a break, from what I understand, he did a great job in this movie

    I agree.
I think he is an awesome actor. I am looking forward to seeing IronMan. :)
His life has been so tragic at times...so many people pulling for him. We should be celebrating life, rather than dwelling on past mistakes.

I agree. You might also add that all if his method was to draw on all his own troubles to help him with the character of Tony Stark, it really helped. His portrayal of Stark took the character from the comic book dimension to something deeper.
