What do you all do with old magazines? Do you save them? Recycle them? Donate them?
I pass some on, keep some, otherwise I recycle.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."
I used to get Kerrang! and The Week but don't anymore-I find it waste of money.
Ha! I was a Kerrang! boy. I don't suppose you remember it when it was monthly? Then it went fortnightly, then weekly in 1987. Boy I loved that metal.
Now I get Classic Rock, and of course, ahem...Uncut:D

Do you remember RAW? That's where I read my first Eddie Vedder Interveiw.

Yes, of course I do, I was a metal head...no mistake. I once met Slayer...how metal is that?
I have stacks of old mags in the garage, in the wardrobe...I found a Kerrang the other day from 1992, with a PJ interview. The one where Ed spins the bullshit about the band name being to do with his grandma's 'haluconagenic preserve'...what a bull shitter!:D
My twin gave my Runner's World for a gift. I used to get Chocolatier, and would like to again some day.

What do you all do with old magazines? Do you save them? Recycle them? Donate them?
I keep a few that have environment articles I might need to refer to some day (though I did this more often when I was in school) and I just recycle the rest of them. The Economist comes every week, so sometimes it's like my house is being taken over by them.
i used to get a ton of magazines listed below:
art & education
teaching tolerance
photo
american photo
metropolitan home
architectural digest
better homes and gardens
vogue
utne reader
nowadays i only get 2, cut back on extraneous spending:
real simple - LOVE it!
home - which is up in april and i am NOT renewing, not happy with it's content for a while now
will be getting in it's place: women's health - got a great offer to subscribe and since i do want to work on my general health, seemed like a good idea.
hubby gets:
bass player
so yea..........REALLY cut down/back on the magazines, b/c the $$$ does add up! will occasionally pick up a magazine at the newsstand if it interests me, such as cottage living, but not often as i really don't want to restart my magazine addiction.
* and in regards to do what i 'do' with magazines when done with em....recycle bin! i pretty much toss the old one out when the new one arrives, same with catalogs, etc......don't like em to pile up, well actually i keep em in a bookcase, but evenso, don't want them hogging the shelf!
ha.
thankfully though, most well-rounded people have MANY interests....so all does not have to be like the other. in fact, i think it's best if there IS some contrast within a person.

well yeah having lots of different interests is one thing...
If I walked into a guy's house and saw maxims lying around...goodbye.
I have always thought of subscribing to the Economist, but I think that's its going to be too much information to get through in a week with my other weekly news magazines

eh, toss all the other ones. the economist is by far the best. I never finish a whole issue, but there's bound to be enough articles that interest you to get through the week.
