    hmmmm.....
  • There was talk about doing a Goonies sequel several years back, but I'm pretty sure those plans got scrapped. Last I saw, it has turned into an animated series (Oct 2007):

But I did hear they are doing a straight to DVD Lost Boys 2 with the Corys.... ;)
  • How is Sean Astin gonna fit his chubby ass into that Members Only jacket? ;)

One of my favorite movies when I was young
do they really have to ruin it with a sequel?

Im kinda getting tired of this
    Rambo
    rocky
    superman

    when does it end?

I would TOTALLY love to see this! I just hope the Corey's can still speak full sentences... Maybe the director tricked the Corey's, told them they were really looking for One Eyed Willies treasure, then just filmed that...

You would think so but rumor is it's gonna be a good 'un. Rocky was well received too, wasn't it?
There are an awful lot of sequels, but they sell, so there'll always be lots of sequels.

    true
Just seems like lately , all our "childhood" movies are all becoming sequels

I am hoping Indian Jones will be good. That was one of my favorites

    Likewise.
But see? You aren't that opposed to sequels afterall :p
Seriously though, I haven't seen Rocky but have been meaning to. And I'll probably see Rambo too. And every Superman and Batman movie that come out.

i guess I am not completely Opposed.

I just think some movis should be left how they ended
I also am opposed to remakes of Classic Horrors or any movie for that matter
most times they dont do them justice.

I like when they make bad remakes of bad movies.

One thing I can guarantee! No matter how horrible Goonies II is, I'd rather sit through it 4 times in a row than be forced to sleep through "There WIll Be Blood" one more time!

In reality, Goonies isn't that good of a movie. It's one of my favorites and a cult classic.. no matter how bad Goonies 2 is, its not like they are remaking the Godfather or something with washed up actors. It's just a fun movie. Not to be taken seriously. A very nostalgic movie for a lot of people..

I freaking love the Goonies. That is a movie that makes me so glad I grew up in the 80s as was the age of those kids during that time. A part 2 though, I don't see how it would be any good. I mean, what happens?, One Eyed Willie floats back into Astoria? By far one of the best classics of the 80s.

Is that why 24 is taking so long to put out the next season? Or maybe it's because Jack likes to booze a little too much!

    - Wait, wait, wait, you can't do this.
    - Why?

    Because these are
    somebody else's wishes.

    They're somebody else's dreams.

    Yeah, but you know what?

This one, this one right here...

...this was my dream, my wish.

    And it didn't come true.
    So I'm taking it back.

    I'm taking them all back.

    Chester Copperpot.

    Chester Copperpot.

    Chester Copperpot!

    Don't you see?

Don't you realize? He was a pro!
He never made it this far.

    Look how far we've come.
    We've got a chance.

    Chance at what, Mikey?
    Getting killed?

Look, if we keep going, someone's
really gonna get hurt. Maybe dead.

We've got to get the police.

    Maybe Chunk got the police.

    Maybe Chunk is dead.

Don't say that. Never say that.
    Goonies never say "die"!

I'm not a Goonie. I want to go home.

    I forgot. But still!

    Don't you realize?
The next time you see the sky...

    ...it'll be over another town.

The next time we take a test...

...it'll be in some other school.

    Our parents, they want
the best of stuff for us.

    Now they got to do
    what's right for them.

Because it's their time. Their time!

    Up there.

    Down here it's our time.
    It's our time down here.

    That's all over the second
    we ride up Troy's bucket.

    Andy!

    You Goonie!

    enjoy the goosebumps
