I LOVE ABBA!! My nickname in high school was "dancing queen". Oh how I would have loved to been a teenager in the 70's...DISCO was so cool. The Bee Gees were great. (but that is a whole other thread) Born too late...:(

    i'm just curious is all...

When I was 16, I saw Def Leppard and Queensryche during the Hysteria tour. So I guess that qualifies as being there to experience it. :)

In 7th grade i'd list from A-Z all the bands i could.
Teachers weren't to impressed in study hall.
My backpack was riddled in band names written in pen.
My jeans were trashed, boots, leather jacket, Iron Maiden/harley t-shirts..
Yeah i was hangin out across the street smokin cigs/weed before/during school...
    Yeah, that was dumb..
    Fun, but dumb..

wait...don't I know you?? This sounds like my high school days...I went to a trade school too. Metal trades baby....rocked the leather jacket, blonde streak in my hair (though I didn't wear it as big as some). My metal tastes ran a little harder - old school Iron Maiden (self titled, Killers), Anthrax, Megadeth, Sabbath (Paranoid is one of my top 10 all time) - but I can admit to a few glam band shows I'd attended (#1 most embarassing? Loverboy and a very young Bon Jovi opened for them).

ok...I admit....I would not throw this man out for eating crackers in bed. I would tumble his ass into the a sack. All he'd have to do is show up naked and bring beer. And how about I have no idea what band he was in? His 80's look does nothing for me (nor did it back then). now? I'd hit it. :D

All he would have to do is show up! Forget about the beer and the naked can quite easily be taken care of (and it would be fun to undress him!) :D

The covered Toast of the Town! Leather Boyz with Electric Toys! (singin cock rock shock pop - hey lets go!) hehe....I was almost attracted to that singer. The drummer was a total Tommy Lee clone....same bat tattoo...same moves....

Had to post this for chadwick - the jean vest I did up for halloween last year:

did the marker work in about 15 minutes before I went out - would've had a lot more bands back in the day...and some square buttons on the front ....damn pentagram is always tough.

80's bands had the best logo's and mascots! I used to draw Clyde (Dangerous Toys clown) and Eddie everywhere!
ah...accessorizing the 80's metal outfit....buckles, chains, studs, cut-finger gloves, buttons, back patches, headbands....usually had some kind of flannel (called it a horse blanket) underneath the leather and vest...I had fucking snakeskin boots if you can believe that!...ugh. I even shaved the sides of my head ala N. Sixx and T. Lee in the Don't Go Away Mad vid...
I tell ya one thing...I don't judge all the little emo kids as harshly as others do because of it. Every time I see some kid that's dressed like a tool, I remember what I looked like at their age.
