What exactly would you consider a mom/minivan suburban housewife haircut?
Since I'm a suburban housewife, I'm trying hard to avoid this. (I don't drive a minivan, just for the record. )
Well since you're a suburban housewife, just check out some of your neighbors or friends' do's. You know the haircut, if it's above your shoulder line, then you probably have a suburban mom/minivan haircut.

for some reason men are obsessed with long hair. they think "the longer the better." what they don't realize is that after a certain age a woman's hair looks and feels like shit if it gets too long. Just go get it cut, it's your f-ing hair.
I used to be like that, for men or women, I just liked long hair. I still have long hair now. I don't really care on women now. I like long hair but I also like the sort of french shorter, shoulder length look.

I don't know. That's pretty vague! And I actually don't have any housewife friends. Unless you count my mother-in-law...lol.

I used to have really, really, really, like insanely long hair. and it always look pretty and curly. and then at some point, it just started to get NASTY if I let it get too long! now I cut it past my shoulders and let it just below. I think the hairdressers do something to make it so you have to keep coming back...
generally, i think women look better with long hair (if it's healthy...and cut right). however, if a woman has an amazing face, she can pretty much pull anything off.

I think certain face shapes wear certain lengths better than others.
There was a woman at my old job who had straight long hair when I first started. One day, she got her hair cut to around the length of her chin, and all of a sudden everyone noticed that she had these amazing cheekbones. And it really accentuated her eyes in a way that the long hair did not. She definitely looked better with it shorter.

Not all men are obsessed with long hair. My gf has had it anywhere from very short to very long and everywhere in between. I thought she looked great each and every way. Although the buzz cut was a bit much. Damn GI Jane movie!

my husband just loves my hair, period. suber long, super short....curly, straight, whatever color........ he actually has been saying i should chop it! currently it is very long and curly...i think he just enjoys the change, as do i. as mentioned it *IS*.....just hair! it grows! i never understood the 'freak out' factor with cutting it, not cutting it....etc. whatever suits you, makes you happy, enjoy! besides...it WILL grow back! and no, i am not cutting mine off just yet....but soon, more than likely.
I'm not sure. I'll have to find out if my gf is a closet poster who posts three times as often as me!

anyhooooo...staying on topic...i think changing up your hair is FUN! i have had my hair uber short....and purplish ..........and currently the longest it's probably ever been, and sure....dark brown with grey.
