2007 Heisman Award Thread

A thread to discuss Heisman candidates and possible winners. Feel free to throw in some not-so known names and make an argument for them. It's fun to hear about the players that don't get the media hype but still get drafted and (often times) find success in the NFL.
My vote goes for Tim Tebow. The young man has accounted for 51 total TD (29 passing, 22 rushing) and only 6 interceptions. He has never fumbled once this year, so he has accounted for only 6 turnovers (some of which are tipped balls out of receivers hands). He has thrown for 3,132 passing yards, while completing an astonishing 68.5% of his passes, which average 9.9 yards per completion. Rushing he has 838 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry with a season-long rush of 25 yards.
To say that he shouldn't win the Heisman is completely unfair to this underclassman. His team does have 3 losses, but he has won many games for them as well. He always put them in a position to win, but when the team is composed of 66% Freshman and Sophomores, inexperience often takes over raw talent. But it should be understood that the Heisman is an individual player award and while the success of his team may be relevant to some, it should NOT play a big factor in the voting decision. I also don't think it's fair to not vote for him because he is only a Sophomore. The voters shouldn't make the same mistake they made when Rex Grossman (coincidentally also a Florida Gator) was the best player in the nation as a Sophomore.

Colt Brennen? I don't think so.
I think Tebow is probably the front runner but he plays for a three loss football team who is going to what? the outback bowl? The best player in college football should lead his team to a BCS bowl....thats my opinion
