    there was a thread related to this, and someone on the board was looking into getting a group rate at a local hotel, i think it's under "la hotel" or something, hopefully more information will be available soon

    remember to pack your gun when going to LA......even the grandmas want to fight LOL

    I would stay somewhere just outside of the downtown area, cheaper and less hectic. Try out Pasadena area, or somewhere on the west side - like santa monica, hollywood, etc. The huge hotels in LA are nice, but theres a price you'll pay to stay at the Bonaventure or similar.

    If i do happen to get tix tomoorow thru TM, I will book a room at Knotts resort, usually < $75.00, nice clean place. Just where i stay when in socal cuz i like snoopy :)

    A friend of mine who lives in the US told me to be really carefull and try not to stay in LA downtown...is it true?
    I mean...i do not know the city, I´m not american and I´ll probably be driving a rented car...

    I think in general - when in the LA area - be careful of :

    -violent trouble making losers with nothing to do
    -crazy drivers who dont know their car came with mirrors.
    -car thieves
    -more thieves
    -and wannabe gangsters

    and if you do get in any kind of altercation, just know that it is all your fault.....thats how it works down there.

    you LA peoples flame me if you will, but i lived there for 20 years before i got sick and tired of all the porn star looking moms and every other person is in some kind of gang that wants to kill someone cuz they looked at someones girlfriend or something retarded. and mostly tired of traffic and the locals unwillingness to use public transportation cuz they are too good for it

    I find it funny that you moved to Oakland to get away from Crime and Traffic. I assume you live in the good part of town. How is that getting away from people who think there too good?

    Damn you must really hate LA. I went their on a trip a few years ago had the time of my life everybody I meet was really friendly maybe my fav city I've ever been to. And whats wrong with porn star looking moms? i just dont get why everybody thinks people who live in LA are hollywood I mean there are alot of down to earth people that live their just cause people like Britney and Lindsey and Paris live their doesnt make it a bad place. I would much rather live in LA then Oakland.
