    they really suck. I just got dinged with a $2 fee because I changed my service.

    i'm biased because i work for verizon (and there's already an 'i hate verizon' thread so we don't need to get into that ;) ) but they really do have the worst customer service. i'm paying them $130+ per month and they still can't get my cable/internet to work without interruption. i've made @20 calls... they finally came out to look at it...only to tell me that since it's sporadic they can't do anything about it. umm, ok, so i just have to accept that my cable will get splotchy during the day. also took 6 months for them to stop charging me to rent a modem that i bought at best buy (insisting i was renting from them). i really wish there was another option.

    anyhow, rant over. :)

    They know many people don't have any other options for cable

    I can't get Satellite because of trees in my area and Verizon Fios isn't available yet....I'M STUCK !!

    That's why I am glad I live in a city that got fed up with no options for cable TV, so they started their own cable TV company called Click!. Owned and operated by the City of Tacoma, Click! offers just about everything Comcast offers at a much cheaper price and way friendlier customer service.

    I hate them also. I called them last month because im sick of paying almost 50.00 for internet and I asked them if there was anything they could do for me and the lady gave me their promotional deal 29.95 for 6 months. And in 6 months I will call again and do the same thing. You gotta get the right person on the phone.
