i hate Gudas and they give this turd a 4-year deal.

on another note Keith Jones thinks Provorov will be Flyers best defensemen in a very short time. great to see. Hopefully they keep Konecny too

It wasnt that bad of a hit. He glided into the hit,didnt charge and Vesey was not only low but turned his back.

My feeling: Provorov makes the team. It's a huge numbers games now with all these guys signed on defense as well as the new rules for the Las Vegas expansion team draft.
Koneckny should make the team but I think he's on the bubble until the last preseason game.
That Lubomir guy may make the team too.
I'd send Read just about anywhere besides the Flyers.

Gudas is such a common denominator. I have a hard time having sympathy for him and all these "unfortunate situations" that seem to happen around him that force him to level players in compromised positions.

Maybe the other player shouldnt put himself into that position by turning his back and dipping last second?

he hits him in the head though. i know the guy stops and dips but like being aware of your stick at all times you have to be aware to not hit a guy in the head. and if you've had so many incidents like this already hard to give Gudas the benefit of the doubt.

Its this guy in particular. This is a constant theme for him. We again are blaming the victim? Was it a strategy to try to "draw" Gudas into a very risky hit that can result in serious (and permanent) injury? Is a player not allowed to turn there? If it is a large number of other players, I can listen to the whole 'speed of the play', etc... but for me, the benefit of any doubt with Gudas went out the window long ago. This guy is a predator.


Then he doesn't even have to answer for it. Someone goes after him, gets tied up with someone else, and Gudas gets into a grab match and is whisked away into the lockerroom.

Regardless of it being Gudas, I do not think he was aiming for his head. It's a fast game out there and watching it on slo-mo replay over and over again makes it look completely different.
Vesey peeled back at the last second which changed his hit target. Knowing how the game is today, yeah, Gudas prob should have tried to hold up a little, but thats easier said than done, esp as you can see, Gudas had already committed to a hit.
Plus it's Jimmy Vesey...F him.

I dont like Vesey or the Rangers, but sometime before long, Gudas is going to seriously injure someone who matters. I just hope it isnt Eichel or Reinhart

Long term injuries to Del Zotto(again) and Laughton.
Provorov and Konecny should both absolutely make this team. They deserve to and I'll be pissed if they both dont.
Is it me or does Giroux look really slow and ineffective again? I know its preseason but he does not look like the same player from a couple years back. He looked bad at times last year too.Unless he's hampered by another injury but he seems very slow out there, especially compared to Voracek. I fear he got his payday and now is basically a Power play player. Pretty concerning.

I gotta say, the irony of someone with your username who keeps bringing up complaints of Radko Gudas incidents is pretty humorous.

Anyway,I think he def gets some time served today. Will be good for him.

Brad May was an excellent fighter. He had a couple of poor decisions over a nearly 20 year career that ended up in a suspension. A tough player in hockey, that is going to happen.


This scrub here is otherwise worthless and has one or two incidents a week at this point... and never seems to answer the bell.
