    Sam Gagner will stay with team...why not give him the chance to play well on a one year contract...if not, trade him.

    just when I think Hextall is a genius he gives an 8-year deal to Vorachek and even dumber a 6-year deal to Coutourier. aren't the lenght of the contracts what got this franchise in cap trouble before. just fn stupid to give that many years.

    season starts tonight. Not much of a difference in team from last year but excited as well. I think Hakstol is going to be good for this team. I hated Berube. Giroux has to get off to a good start.

    Not much difference in the team, I agree. Which is why I can't see them missing the playoffs again as the experts are predicting. I don't see them in the top half of the east, but should make the playoffs. Mason is too good and team chemistry should be better.

    I think they challenge for the 8th spot at best.
    Too much dead weight salaries on this team and the D is suspect.
    Beyond the top 2 lines, there is no scoring depth.
    Top 10 pick againthis summer.
    Cannot wait for some of these contracts to go or hopefully Hextall pulls more magic to lose some of these stiffs via trade.

    only saw the end and the overtime. 3 on 3 is hokey. going to be a lot of 2 on 1s and breakaways. teams are going to win all the time in overtime now. I don't like the fact that a hokey 3-on-3 win in overtime gets you the same amount of points as a dominating regulation time win. i'd rather see regulations wins count 3 points. reward a team for winning in regulation.
