My bf just did it two weeks ago. He had won it as a prize and felt really reluctant to go forth with it. But he did it and had a fantastic experience....my hero :)

I still dont know if I would do it, I would be soooooo scared. I am afraid of hights too, but even worse I am afraid of gravity's pull. And from what he told me gravity is pulling fucking hard!

He said you cant compare it with a rollercoaster-fall, because you are falling totally free with nothing to hold on to. It is so surreal that it is really cool. Adrenaline rush for sure. He has got some great pics of him doing it and got a video as well. Sure looks cool, but I dont know....

Well, I am sure you will really enjoyed it when you do it. The biggest bump is probably just doing it and going over the edge....

    Greetz.
Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?

    Yeah man,,,

    Do it!

I did quite a few jumps years ago, before the tandem things. It was like a 4 hour school then you went up in the plane, and man, I remember the first time where the instructor said, "Step out and stand on the strut and hold on."
So I looked out and thinking, I'm F*N stepping out of a damn plane! So I'm standing on this wheel strut looking down and he yells "It's time to let go"

    So I let go and:

    HA hahahahahahahaa!!!!!! :D

    It's fantastic!

The first jumps were with a static line that pops the chute open automatically but it's REALLY cool when you get a few jumps in and can do a little sky maneuvering.

I've never been scared of heights, or much, I guess, but friends of mine who did it were scared of heights and said that it didn't affect them like being on a building. It was all so surreal to them that being scared of heights didn't even enter into the equation.

    Do it!
:D I'd love to do one... definitely! I get a bit of vertigo at times... but weirdly only when I'm low down, like standing on a stool or something :D leaning over cliffs or looking down from buildings or anything don't bother me... what's that about? Lol

Well of course it is, after that gravity pretty much takes over. But I know what he means, I've never done it but it's similar in repelling. You get to the edge and the guy says "ok, now lean back and step off the cliff", and you just think "DO WHAT?!". It's such an unnatural thing to do, but fun and I'm sure everything is just multiplied with jumping out of a plane.
    :D that made me laugh.

I have been skydiving twice and it was a blast both times. I am not scared of heights and am an adrenaline junkie. The actually free fall didn't feel like I was dropping out of the sky though. I guess since you are up so high and the ground isn't rushing up at you I just felt like I was floating with a very loud fan blowing in my ear. Plus from that height the ground just looks like a bunch of big squares. And once the 'chute opens it gets so quiet and surreal. It was some of the most fun I ever had. I have been bungee jumping a few times as well and that got me more rattled than sky diving.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

Nobody ever mentions the silence once the parachute opens. This was the most amazing part for me after the violence of freefalling and all of a sudden it just feels like you are floating. It was also nice doing above the great barrier reef! If you are doing a tandem jump it isn't hard at all, all you have to do is hang your legs out the side of a plane... I'd find it much harder to bungee because I'd have to make the decision to jump.
I only lied because it was the easiest way to get what I wanted.

I find this hard to believe...the most mundane things scare you....perhaps you will be drunker then a skunk when you do it :D.

My only comments would be better you than me, and you don't have to do it, if you don't want to, but if you do, good luck and have fun. And post the minute you get back, so we know you survived.
