My in-laws all have Boston Terriers. They're fun for a while, but I prefer big dogs.
Once we have a yard big enough, I'd like to have a yellow lab or maybe a Newfie.

edit: here's my adopted pup...her name is lucy. she lives w/ my parents, but i love her w/ all my heart. we found her skin and bones about a year ago, thinking that she was a stray. turns out her owners live just a block away from my parents :eek: we adopted her and gave her a home she's so loveable and snuggly...i just hope that someday i'll be able to bring her home w/ me!
do any of you who have dogs live alone, not have a yard, and work late? I've always thought I can't have one for these reasons, but does anyone manage to pull it off (and have a happy, healthy dog)?

One house mate has a Siberian or Alaskan Huskie, forget which. He's a freakin' beautiful dog. Another house mate has a pitbul lab cross. He is the sweetest, friendliest dog in the entire world.
