That Allie started, I was trying to post this: (which isn't a bad posting, I think)

having been on the receiving end of a banning, I can tell you that it really sucks to be excluded from the pit.

I don't agree with lifetime banning, but I do have to acknowledge that we do "sign" an agreement that does state that they can ban us for offenses.

Lifetime bans may be necessary for some serious infringements such as selling PJ merchandise, posting missing PJ media, or posting personal information about the band, or other members. I would have to say that would (IMO) be lifetime ban-worthy offenses.

But being banned for life over pitfights, misjudgments, and posting questionable materials seems excessive. Time-outs would be more appropriate.

One of the biggest issues I have with the banning is the secrecy involved. Perhaps they can just post a party line regarding the banning to the pit family. Letting us know that they are banned for (however many days, or permanently) that way we arent all gossiping over what why and when...and they don't have to lock threads devoted to the banned members.

that being said, I am hoping that MCKB gets to come back soon!!!

    Seriously, do you guys think you’re bringing up new ideas here? Because you’re not, the things you all say about banning have been said many times before by far more articulate people, they’re not changing the policy because you disagree who’s been banned…deal with it.

    The internet is full of free message boards, get all the people who have been banned and go start a new more open forum where anything goes…it’s been done a dozen times before with a little bit of success.

    this person is still allowed to bring it up, hell, everything on this board has been discussed before. there is not a new original thread to be found.

    and to point out the "far more articulate people" in my opinion, is lame, and uncalled for.

    She wanted to change her screen name and instead of notifying the mods to modify her account, she started a new account which apparently is a bannable offense, irrelevant to the circumstances..
