Got one for my b-day. Does it mess up the radio that is currently in your vehicle? Pros? Cons? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also anyone know how much it costs to install? Thanks in advance.
PJ FANS ROCK!!!
Finally got that "One for the Thumb"!!! Got the "Six Pack". Now we're on a "Stairway to Seven"
Some words when spoken...can't be taken back.

LOVE IT! Do what you can to hook it up yourself...just a matter of wires in some cases, but other cars may need some extra work. Also, it has not messed up my regular radio at all.

LOL...Hook it up? I am technologically challenged. Lucky if I can turn the radio on! My dad is the one who claims it messes up your current system. Have an Alpine system in my car and don't want to mess it up cause it has a cassette deck and I am loving listening to all my tapes from the 80's and 90's.

i had it, got rid of it ... it wasn't worth the money. the technology stunk, and I wasn't blown away by the content.
Commercial free music is the best.. don't forget to program the "flannel Channel" for all your Pearl Jam enjoyment!
Yeah, that part is a pain. If you live in a desert area you won't have that problem. Also, don't hang out too long under an overpass.

So it goes out in tunnels? Got lots of those here in Pittsburgh.

oh yea....zero reception in tunnels. leaves are a problem too.
Basically, if the antenna is blocked from the sky you are screwed for reception. It doesn't work like a regular radio signal.

1.If you like listening to music that sounds like it was recorded through a coffee can, it's great.
2.If you like listening to commercials every 15 minutes trying to get you to buy a service you already have, it's great.
3. If you like listening to Howard Stern shows from 1992 , or once in awhile new shows and then a show that discusses what they JUST talked about, and having him tell you to buy more Sirius radios, it's great.
Lithium is a great channel (but music sounds like crap due to compression) and the Talk radio isn't bad if you don't mind listening to commercials every 10 minutes.
I am dumping it before next billing statement.
we just did the same. my husband had it, used to love it...and then, commercials and BS, and we never really could find that perfect station either. i never quite liked the idea of paying for radio either....same for tv....thus, we don't. once he stopped commuting by car, it just made zero sense to keep it. now he DLs the O&A show - that was what he really kept it for, haha - and listens a day late on the train. for free. it's all good.
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
this guy knows the deal.
what channel is this?
It rocks for long road trips.
I listen to the Playboy channel on my commute home every day. The other day, Christy Canyon was interviewing Ron Jeremy. It was the most entertaining commute I've had in a long time.
Channel 24, Lithium. Grunge and 90's alternative.
I think the sound is good, especially through the boom box I have. I like Stern and listening to Saints games and that in itself makes it worth it for me.
It does cut out under overpasses for a second or under thick trees. But if you were listening to regular radio it would have a lot more commercials.
