May be this will work. Obviously, inspired by the fave veggie thread. But a salad can be way more than vegetables, like fruit salad or ambrosia. Mine:

baby spinach
tomatoes
cucumbers
red bell peppers
balsamic vinaigrette
bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown

my friend makes my favorite thai slaw salad...it's great all year round, but perfect for the summer. it's a light, fresh and flavorful salad that can be used as an entree by adding some grilled shrimp or chicken or as a fresh side dish.

    The Salad:
1 (16 oz) prepared shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix) from produce department
1/4 european seedless cucumber, sliced into thin sticks
1 small red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
3 scallions, thinly sliced on bias
    20 leaves fresh basil, shredded

    The Dressing:
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup white distilled or rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar or 2 tablespoons honey
    1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable or canola oil
    1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

Toss the salad with the dressing in a serving bowl and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.

My boss makes a wonderful salad:

    Spinach
    Sliced red onions
    Strawberries
    Sliced Almonds
    Chicken breast

With a home made Poppy and Sesame seed Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing.

I'm not sure of the measurements, but I know the dressing has sugar, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, onion, poppy, and sesame seeds and worcester sauce.

If anyone is interested in knowing the exact recipe, PM me and I can grab it for you at work.

Ok so the one I have most regularly, several times a week,

    torn lettuce
    fresh basil
    capsicum
    tomato
    cucumber
    splash of balsamic vinegar
splash of extra virgin olive oil
    lots of cracked black pepper
    dash of sea salt

I also love, when I can be bothered

    grated carrot
    julienne cucumber
    bean shoots
    mint leaves
    coriander leaves
    fresh vietnamese basil chopped
    small handful of roasted peanuts
dressed with lime juice, splash of peanut oil and dried chilli flakes

oh and there was this awesome salad I made a few times a while back

    chopped watermelon
    sliced red onion
    kalamata olives
    diced fetta
dressed with a little balsamic and olive oil.
    NOPE!!!
