Looks like time is short for the Cow Palace, the site of one of PJ's most memorable shows from the early days.

But I can just mention one or two phenomenal shows, mid 80s.
If you were a rocker back then, you undoubtedly were at:
Fastway / Saxxon / Iron Maiden
That show was nuts, and only barely beat out, a year later:
Metallica / Iron Maiden (did Yngwie open that, or was that Ygnwie/Metallica later, saw that too!)
insane general admission shows in the heyday of metal! I remember the all-day line (we started at like 10am) wrapped around a u-haul truck and about an hour before the line went in, well, the u-haul had it coming. Started wiht a couple bottles being thrown "at" a nearby trashcan, ended with the trashcan through the windshield of the poor truck .... mayhem even before anyone was inside!
I saw the Maiden/Saxon/Fastway show in Long Beach...man, did it rock!
Saxon should have made it bigger then they did!
The singer from Fastway is now the singer in Flogging Molly.

Yes, it's a dump, but the place has history.
